Omega Harris

Cant take them all. I think things are working out pretty well for us

Got the most important one of late...Jordan Woodard.

Now it is time to get the next most important one...Trae Young. :)

Trier having a good season as well.

I'm not one to normally bang the "gotta keep the local kids home" drum, but to lose Trier, Harris, Shake, and Young all in a two year period would be pretty sad.

trier wasnt a local kid... 5 star 1 and done wasnt going to sit behind buddy, just a passer by.
harris- red flags
Shake- Cant help that a kid wants to go away for college, came up short
Young- We'll see what happens, once again 5 star, kind of wants to go away for college.

Lon is recruiting the ones he wants hard, They thought they had shake.
Theyve put a lot of time into Trae.

Its not sad if we miss on kids that dont want to go to OU. You cant make them, but you cant say we havent tried and tried really hard.

OU basketball is almost never going to recruit 5* kids from anywhere but Oklahoma, and maybe Texas. It's just not going to happen. Doesn't matter the reason, if we have a kid playing/living in Oklahoma that is a 5*, and we recruit them, it'd be nice to land them. Good things happen. See Tisdale and Blake Griffin.

Agree 98%. All I am saying is if Trae wants to go to KU or UK or Duke. You cant blame the staff and its not "sad", theyve spent a ton of time daily trying to get him here.

I'll leave 2% for arguments sake.

20 years ago, would be easier for OU to keep the local 5* in-state. Now with all of the exposure (internet, travel teams, etc.) they get opened up to more possibilities.

Did not know he was an in state cat. That sucks big time. Guys good.

Emegano is a heck of a player. Would've been nice to get him, especially once he transferred back to the state. But, maybe some kids just don't want to come here. It happens. I like our team. I do like the Memorial Connection we have going on right now with Woodard and Doolittle.

I still can't believe O-State didn't offer Spangler out of Bridge Creek. Those whiffs are just killers.

Did anyone offer Obi besides Western Illinois out of high school?

Young will be a Sooner.

Lon's a good man and will make him a big star.

OU

While we are on the topic, how in the heck did we fail to recruit the Collins kid at TCU. He is easily the best freshman in the B12.

Oh lord no... Hes a sophomore and not even close. In fact tcu coaches are a little disappointed in him so far.

Coach, he went for 30 against Tech the other night and was unbelievable.

I haven't checked his class status on line, but when we played them he was identified as a freshman. That may have been a mistake, but that is where I came up with the fact that he is a freshman from OKC.

Freshman or sophomore, he is really good. I wonder why TCU is disappointed?

Anyway, he was unreal the other night. I still don't see why we didn't recruit him.

Agree. Even if he was a freshman, Texas has quite a few solid freshman but OSU has the best freshman even though he's hurt right now.

Yes he's their leading scorer. 11pts Shooting 40% from 3.

But I'm not trading him for Buford Lattin or mcnease!

Who are trading him for?

Maybe worst defender in the big 12
