Options with last two scholarships now.....

Is the Lazenby kid a serious option? That one doesn't excite me......


Juiston? I didn't know much about him but noticed his numbers were solid and he was offered by KU....if that is the case then he can definitely play.


What are other options? If any

Juiston and/or a grad transfer if possible. If Lazenby was a senior it wouldn't be bad but you'd have him for 2 years.

Sometimes nothing is the best option. If nothing else happens this year, there are only 3 scholarships open next year. Best not to waste them on people who will not contribute.

Take a flyer for 1 year like DSM. Doesn't work out then hit the road. It's a serious thing.

Damn. Seems we've missed out on everyone but Trae as of late. Anymore options out there?

He basically shot the same from 3 in juco as McGusty and James did against the toughest schedule in the nation. Not sure he's the answer as a shooter. Igor would have been great in that role, but I'm not sure how I feel about using the scholarship on an experiment.

And with DSM and Dante not on our roster anymore, we need more depth.

That said, I find it hard to believe our coaches have not targeted other graduate transfers. One would think that out of the several hundred available this year, Koulechov and a juco player OU didn't recruit out of high school can't possibly be our only options.

I'll add that Lazenby may be good enough to fill one of those ships. I'm just wondering out loud why there aren't more names on our recruiting list? Juiston has an OU offer, too. But nothing I've read or heard suggests that he is all that serious about picking OU.

I totally trust LK in regard to knowing what he's doing and knowing guys will fit. I'm just not particularly fired up about a guy that shot 31% from 3. When you really need shooting you'd hope you could find some somewhere.

I'd rather find a grad transfer as well. But I'm not on staff. If they see what they like go for it.

I'm wondering if PG play from Trae will relax Kam, Doolittle, and CJ to knock down some open 3's at a higher clip next year. I don't know who else can shoot that well from deep besides TY

My friends in Hutch/Lawrence told me last week-end that Juiston is a heavy KU lean, with a possible interest in I-State. Maybe that will change. Hope so.
