OSU getting blasted against Bama

The obsession with OSU having it rough so far on this site is sad but I guess that's what you fall to when the last time you were involved in any post-season game at all was 3 years ago.
OSU isn't a good team but OSU played a NCAA tournament team in Birmingham tonight whereas OU played something called South Carolina STATE at home. Hmmm, seems to be a common occuring theme this year. You guys are still fattening up that strength of schedule I see. If there was more time on the schedule you guys could have traveled up to Goodwell, OK and played Panhandle St. to.

I guess OU is going to the NCAA tournament this year? Please tell me you are, after watching our game I need a good laugh.

The aggie logic is thick in this here post......

LOL at GIA Stout. God bless his patheticness so I could have a few laughs this morning.

Alabama will have a tough time making the NCAA Tournament. Maybe they'll sneak in but it's not a shoe in. Who cares about SOS when you can't beat anyone. OSU is very close to being 5-6. Remember they got lucky as hell to beat TSA.

BTW obsession? The game was well into the 2nd half before this thread started, which was about an hour after the game last night ended.

NO it doesn't. Go east or west and people don't even know that OSU exists. Your school is a joke outside the Big XII. Nobody cares. Ask Skyview, he lives in NYC, they think there is only one school in Oklahoma and that school isn't OSU.

You guys are the red headed step brother. You are the kid nobody wants around but we all wen to first grade together so we are nice to you. You are the guy that pissed his pants in second grade and never lived it down. Should I continue.

WOW! Nice

What were you thinking?

Don't know about signing day, but I'll bet his thoughts have changed since then.

If the trend we're seeing now continues, even Marcus won't be able to head off this train wreck. Never dreamed the Pokes would be this bad with the talent on their roster.

Speaking of the OSU/Bama game, during halftime of the OSU/Bama game, they showed highlights from James Frascilla's trick shot video. The video was made to benefit Hayden's Hope, http://haydenshope.org/. Fran also mentioned that he had gotten lots of tweets as soon as James scored his 2 points.

I can tell you what he was thinking, ole Boone who resides in Dallas, gave him and his buddy Forte a sweet heart deal to go to OSU. There is a reason why OSU recruits Dallas so well. Ford is basically doing what he did at UMass. Not sure why people are surprised. He lived off of Sutton's players at first, but this is his team now. What a pile of crap they have in Stillwater.

To the OSU fan dogging OU's team, who by the way most predicted to be one of the 2 worst teams in the conference, watch an OU game and you can see what a real coach looks like. I have no delusions as to what this OU team can do this year, but they sure as hell are getting the most out of their talent. Give Kruger OSU's team and he'd have them finishing top 4 in conference.

This. Honestly, I'll be a little disappointed if OU doesn't sweep OSU this year. Not saying it should happen, but the coaching mismatch alone should be worth 8-10 points.

The biggest difference seems to be that OU is improving every week, while OSU seems to be regressing. Nash played well last night, and they still got blasted by an NCAA bubble team missing their best player for the entire game, and their 3rd best player for most of the game.

Here are some nice national rankings for GIA. Try to spin this:

OSU:
PPG- 191st
Reb- 105th
Asst- 311th
FG%- 262nd
3pt%- .329

OU:
PPG- 31st
Reb- 5th
Asst- 79th
FG%- 120th
3pt%- .432

I just don't know that I agree that OSU's roster is better than OU's. OU has some issues with depth but the Sooners have a solid starting lineup. WHich OSU player (Ignoring NCAA rules) could transfer to OU and start immediately on the current roster? I am not saying none of them start but it is not easy to say which guy would start over the current starters at OU. Pledger starts on a combined team. I like Grooms at pg. I like Osby and Fitz in the paint but an argument could be made for Nash over Fitzgerald. Cam probably doesn't start over Olukemis. Olukemi is averaging 9.9 points per game and 5.2 boards. Cam is averaging 7.0 and 3.4. It is significant but not a huge dsicrepency. OSU probably has better depth than OU.

Page would start over Grooms....... Oh wait, I kid, I kid.

I believe OSU has better overall talent than OU it's simply not coached at all. Cobbins was a top 40 player but people forget because he's just kind of out there. That's one example but my point is give a very good coach like Kruger OSU's talent he does a lot with it. There is a reason why some OU players are emerging this year that nobody was really high on coming in and it's because they play for a very good coach.

I would love to have Cobbins on this OU squad. He would fit in well.

Maybe it's coaching but I don't see it from OSU. LaBryan Nash is a nice player, he would probably be a bench guy for OU. Cezar Geurerro isn't as good as Grooms is at PG and he isn't starting over Pledger. They don't have a post player as good as Fitz or Roe right now. Maybe coaching is the reason they aren't as good and they have more talent. But based on what I've seen I don't see it. In Capel's first really bad season we scored 80 something a game. That's proof of talent even though we had a selfish group of players. OSU will be lucky to average in the 60s.

Pitt just lost to 7-3 Wagner at home. Schedule looking even tougher, eh stout? :)

Wasn't Cam Clark a top 40 talent? What about Osby, he was ranked highly coming out of high school. Fitzgerald and Pledger are both top 100 guys (some people had pledger slightly below 100. Neal was the player of the year in Oklahoma. I have no idea what people thought of Grooms coming out of high school but he was highly regarded coming out of juco.

Rivals ranked Clark #34 nationally, Fitzgerald #70 and Pledger #121. Both Rivals and Scout had Clark and Fitzgerald ranked as 4*. Rivals ranked Pledger as a 3* and Scout had him as a 4*.
