OSU is very good

Why is this meaningless garbage posted on an OU message board? Every season the same nonsense about the devry in Stillwater supposedly being good. No real OU fan gives a eff about them and never will.

There are way too many OU fans on here who are obsessed with OSU basketball, for whatever reason. It's something I have complained about for a long time, but have just grown to generally accept.

It's almost like little brother syndrome.

I am a huge OU fan and I have zero problem with OSU. I like to give the OSU people on this board a hard time but the reality is about half of my buddies from high school went to OSU, my brother went to OSU and I spent several weekends in Stillwater in high school and in undergrad.

My honest opinion of the schools is they are quite similar with the primary difference being OU has a much better tradition in football. OU has been distinguishing itself academically lately but in the mid 80s when I went to college the schools were fairly evenly matched academically.

I typically want OSU to win unless they are playing OU.

With that said I do get some enjoyment from OSU losing simply due to the internet fans.

Watched the game today and realized they can be beat... If smart isn't in the game.

That dude is incredible and seems like an ok guy.

OSU has pretty much the same team as last season and can definitely be beat. They are a better team based mostly on the improvement of their players rather than new players entering the program because the new players don't get to play much and really shouldn't due to the fact that Smart, Brown, Williams, Nash and Forte all return. Stevie Clark was playing before his suspension.

Butler could have easily won the game. Come March, Butler will be an even better team, and the aggots will be the same as they are now.

Wins a win. Doesn't hurt to have to win a close one

One point I have noticed in the two games in this tourney was a discrepancy in the officiating. In the game Thursday the officials strictly adhered to the rules and called everything. Today they seemed to swallow the whistle and let them play. It will be I interesting to see how the officials call the games throughout the year.

OSU of course is good this year. Their problem will be matchups. They are a SMALL team inside and when they play a big team it will create them problems they mostly won't be able to overcome. OR, when they play a team that has a "get in your shorts" defender that can get in Smarts head. Smart has shown last year and already this year that he doesn't handle that real well and may sit on the bench for extended periods when it does - and OSU is not nearly as good with him on the bench - very average.

Top 5 in the country, #1 in Sagarin and Pomeroy, and undefeated? I'll take that. It's better than being unranked for half a decade straight and a non-tourney/bubble team in the same time period.

Memphis had a lot of size and OSU completely ran them out of the gym. Being bigger doesn't always give a team the advantage.

OSU has several post players 6"9" or better that can flat out jump.

Playing without the back up point guard affects the game, especially when second half fatigue kicks in. OSU will be just fine going forward.

Keep on thinking OSU is one good player and a bunch of average Joes. See where that gets you this year.

Paso, the Ags have 3 guys 6'10" and over and ALL THREE are Stiffs. Not worth putting on the floor. The only other one is Cobbins at 6'8" and he is good but thin. Just saying, wait till you meet a team with some true bigs and it WILL effect you. OSU is strong at the guard and SF spots but weak at Center. All teams have their strengths and weaknesses and you would do yourself well to recognize the OSU weaknesses. Again, if you read well I didn't say they were a one man team BUT FORD BETTER KEEP THE DOPE AWAY FROM YOUR LITTLE FRESHMAN GUARD, LOL.

He scores 39 in their first game, they score 101 points, and win by 21 at home. Tonight, he scores 12, they score 68, and lose by 5. I'd say they are a lot closer to what a lot of us think they are than #5 in the country and what you wish they were.

As of the moment, the Pokes have a worse loss than the Sooners.

It's your coach...get it through your thick skull that the cowboys don't have a very good coach.

The Smart comparisons to D-Wade are ridiculous. Wade was an elite NBA athlete. Smart looks like a below average athlete at the NBA level. He most likely came back because his stock was going to drop like a rock when his metrics were scrutinized. Bulky average athletes like Smart rarely translate well to the nba.

I think you're underestimating his measurables and athleticism.
That said, OU might have 5 players that are better shooters than Smart.
