Hung on to edge a very pedestrian Minnesota team tonight 62 - 60 . The game was played in South Dakota with a mostly pro-Minnesota crowd in attendance. OSU will be VERY lucky to make the NIT, and I am assuming they would be too prideful to accept a CBI or CIT bid, so it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them completely miss out on postseason play this year.

P.S. Mitchell Solomon plays hard but the fact that he starts on a Big 12 team is an absolute joke. Their best player currently is Chris Olivier, player with most long term potential is Jawun Evans. Obviously Phil Forte is their best player normally, but I didn't count him since he is out with injury right now

Since they were playing a non conference game I was not opposed to them just winning by the smallest of margins which they done did.

Aggie isn't too prideful to claim a cbi or cit, these are the same guys thay Claimed a Co big 12 south championship in football when we beat them to go to the title game against Nebraska

Mitchell Solomon would start for OU. Ford is just not using home right.

I disagree. Lattin is what OU needs more than Solomon on this year's team.

Lattin's also the better all-around player. He killed him in their Per 40 minute numbers last season. Let's compare this season.

Lattin: 10.3 ppg 57% fg 14.7 rpg 1.5 apg 1.5 spg 2.2 bpg 0.7 TOpg 5.1 fpg

Solomon: 9.9 ppg 50% fg 10.1 rpg 1.1 apg 1.5 spg 0.9 bpg 3.2 TOpg 6.2 fpg

The bolded categories are ones in which Lattin leads. So he's a better scorer, shoots a higher percentage, rebounds a lot better, plays much better defense, distrubutes and takes care of the ball better, and finally he fouls less than Solomon.

The narrative trying to be passed off by a couple of posters that Solomon is better shows their own ignorance. Lattin is better at every single aspect of the game. No, sorry, I am shorting Solomon on one thing. He shoots a better free throw. I'm sure that's causing this coaching staff to lay awake now wondering how they let such a big fish escape.

I am also willing to bet that Lattin is faster and has more stamina than Solomon, meaning he is better suited for our system. All around I wouldn't trade the two straight up.

Those numbers don't mean anything. Solomon plays in Travis Ford's system. If Lattin was on Ford's team right now, he wouldn't get any playing time.

I really like Lattin but Solomon looks way better. Olivier is their best player and he comes off the bench. And Travis post players play scared b/c any little mistake and he yanks them and throws in some 6'5 SF that shoots 3's.

If Spangler was on Ford's team, his numbers would be worse. If you don't agree with that then you don't watch OSU play.

Yes.

Funny...I believe he would play for us and feel he made a horrific decision about what school to attend. The fact of the matter is Solomon is just a guy and would back up Spangler at the 4. Our other bigs have far more potential than him. He'd also be a terrible fit as a starter because he offers zero rim protection. Nice player but I'll stick with who we have.

I actually like Solomon. I think he'd certainly be in our rotation and get decent minutes. Starter? Hard to say. He'd be a positive player on OU's team.

His parents are huge OSU fans - such is life

I was scared for the Big 12 that Okie State was going to lose to Minnesota...Minnesota is in a 3 game 3 losing streak losing to South Dakota and South Dakota State.....Minnesota lost by a larger margin to those two over Okie State

In South Dakota lolololol

They are currently up 47-39 over mighty Longwood, and the game is delayed because the lights in GIA went out.

...whaaaaaaa?
