Yep. Our first loss was to UT in Austin.

Which was essentially without Blake, right? Then missed the next game against KU which they also lost if my memory serves. Self's streak is ridiculous, but it would be a lot shorter without that injury.

Then he came back for a win against Tech, and then we got slaughtered at Mizzou with Blake.

That KU game was heartbreaking. I remember Willie Warren put the team on his back that game and we were almost able to pull out the W.

Willie was doing the same. They both put on a great show. One of the most fun games I've been to at LNC.

We started that season 25-1 before finishing 5-5. Never the same after Blake's concussion. I think we could have been in the title game that year if we had been on the opposite side of the bracket.
