Williams is a beast this year, if she keeps this up she could very well contend for Big 12 player of the year, I haven't seen anyone else in the conference that has impressed me more than her. This is an example of one player actually improving while under SC, most likely because she already had the ability and just took it upon herself to put in the work in the offseason. Unfortunately for her, we do not have enough pieces in our limited roster to help her out and account for more than what I predict to be 8 total wins this season. Which is an optimistic prediction. If I were Williams I would be very torn on whether or not to transfer to a better team next year so that she will have an opportunity to play in an NCAA tournament. I believe any team, no matter who, would be happy to take her on as a transfer. Let's hope next season with what we have returning and coming in we have enough pieces to be competitive and get to NCAA level. Personally, I do not believe the players who opted out this season will return next season, so hopefully CP3 can bring in one just more player (to fill Lampkin's spot) with height that can make an immediate impact.

CP3 isn't going to get her in here unless Sherri blesses a potential recruit from the get go or finds her herself. I've heard that she isn't listening to any other coach about anything and that has been going on since before Jan left.

If what OH says is true then Joe C. needs to terminate Sherri yesterday. Also if true I would think everyone on the staff would have their agent or rep diligently looking for another place to further their career.
Oh man, she will listen to Colton (Basketball Genius). He is the only assistant to keep the same chair this season.
Long before JRoss left. IMO, one of the reasons SHansmeyer finally threw up her hands and left.
He had an opportunity to dismiss her without having to pay a penny extra when she claimed ignorance for her racist acts. So she's not going anywhere as long as he is there and the boosters/sponsors remind him who writes those checks. GAustin may be gone from the WBB staff, but his family name carries weight. She ain't going no where.

I agree. SC has JC in her pocket. I actually messaged him via Twitter venting our frustrations about the declining state of the program, pleading that he at minimum apply some pressure to SC so that steps can be made to revive our program to past glory. In the message I stated that she doesn't recruit well, and she's very rarely in on top prospects, and there's usually only one top 100 player in each signing class, which isn't enough. I said that fans won't be content with 10-win seasons and her excuses were acceptable two years ago perhaps, but they aren't now and there will be less and less fans the longer this lasts. I said that many say he doesn't care about wbb, and for that reason he continues to extend SC's contract, but i'm holding out hope he does care and is willing to take action depending on how this season turns out. I know the message went through, but so far no response. It was sent during the game two nights back. What do we want to bet he doesn't even read it?
