Arent is EXACTLY the type of player I am tired of seeing us waste scholarships on. From here forward if we're faced with just holding onto a schollie or using it on a guy like Arent I hope we just keep it.

The problem isn't that Arent is on scholarship, it's that he is our 4th best big man. If Arent is taking up that 12th or 13th scholarship, it's not a problem.

Kelvin's FF team had 13 players on the roster. Included in that 13 players (whether on scholarship or not, I'm not sure), were Matt Gipson, Blake Johnston, Ainooson, and Cano.

Even Capel took a team to the Elite 8 that had Orlando Allen, Kyle Cannon, and Beau Gerber on scholarship.

Oleg was on scholarship I believe for several years, all of those teams making the Dance.

Heck, I'm pretty sure about 75% of the time, Kelvin didn't even use that 13th scholarship.

This game is a perfect example of what a better bench will do for us. We were up 3-7 points most of the time our starters were in the game, but when we had to replace Osby/Fitz with Washington/Arent, Baylor made a run.

Proud of the way Fitz is battling on the boards. He's giving up about 4 inches and a lot in vertical ability, but he is playing hard.

johnston could play tho, and same with gipson but he liked maryjane too much.. allen and cannon are immaterial cuz we happened to have the best player in the country that year... we have a bunch of average players so we need those players at the 13 and 12th spots to be decent shots at being good players cuz if we hit on one this team could be totally different
