*********OU-Baylor Game Thread**********

Pretty good analysis. I actually like the way we've played today. If we hit even 3-4 treys this is a completely different game.

I agree. Hard for me to be too upset about today, b/c this is us. This is our team.

Over Clark and Grooms?

i bet they do... grooms isnt that good. clark is just an awkard player that has some talent. i hope and think they both start.. well run

hield, pledger, hornbeak, m'baye, romero..

fitz prolly starts but im hoping m'baye is the truth

There is no way those guys start next year. Not a chance they both do, and if I had to guess, I'd say neither of them even start a single game, with the roster we're expected to have. M'Baye will step in for somebody. Grooms is going to start b/c he is our only pg. And I think he'll be fine if we're getting more out of Cam's spot. Cam and Fitz are the two that need to be worried. But I doubt either of the new guards start more than a couple of games, at most.

I was thinking more of a four guard lineup.

G: Grooms
G: Pledger
G: Heild
G: Hornbeak
F: Fitz, Osby, or M'Baye

That team would be horrible. Seriously, you'd consider starting each game with two of Fitz/Osby/M'Baye on the bench? :facepalm

Next year I see:

PG Grooms
SG Pledger
SF M'Baye
PF Osby
C Fitzgerald

Bench (in order of appearance)
Clark
Hornbeak
Hield
Juco Big Man
Neal

I'm guessing the starting lineup stays roughly the same with M'Biaye coming off of the bench. I see Fitzgerald remaining a "starter" because he is a senior and a 4 year guy. However, I see M'Biaye playing just as many minutes as he does. Who actually "starts" is vastly overrated.

A great first half only to be disappointed in the 2nd half but at least we only lost by 10, could have been alot worse...

I don't think the starters will change much. Maybe not at all. If M'Baye MUST start, he'll start for Cam or Fitz. I'd be shocked if anything other than that happened. The good thing is that when we struggle, or get in foul trouble, or a guy goes into a slump, we actually have options on the bench. Rather than JUST Neal and Blair, we'll have Hield and Hornbeak. And if M'Baye starts outside, he can move inside to serve as the third post. With Henry not likely to be on campus, we need to sign somebody that can come in and at least duplicate what Washington has done most games.

Here's your ballgame today:

Baylor 8-26 3 pt
OU 0-13

As I said, hit 4 threes and this is a final possession type of game.

We showed today that are starters can hang. Even with foul trouble, we were up at the half. Problem is, our bench can't keep us in the game when they have to play, and our starters log too many minutes.

WOW. :facepalm

Saturday was the first time in 510 games OU has not made a 3-pointer. It was 0-for-12 against Baylor.

I was also thinking of a 3 guard lineup with two forwards. You can pretty much interchange between Fitz, Osby, and M'Baye at the two forward positions.

G: Grooms
G: Pledger
G: Hield, Hornbeak
F: Osby
F: M'Baye
