**********OU-Baylor Game Thread**********

When you shoot 53% from the field, your opponent shoots 38%, and you win the FT battle, you shouldn't need a last second 3 to rim out to win.

We certainly made that more interesting than it needed to be. That said, OU basketball isn't at a level where we should ever apologize for a win. I'll take it. Big win. That is a W most didn't count on us getting.

When you give up 24 offensive rebounds on the road, you shouldn't win either. Especially factoring in a very sloppy final 10 minutes. Good win, though. Need that one to get to the magic conference total of 11/12 for the tournament.

That's one way to look at it. Another is we couldn't stop turning the ball over in the second half, couldn't get a defensive rebound to save our lives, and yet somehow won the game. It's all about perspective. :dance005:

Like you, I'll take the win!

Great win. Any win on the road is a good win. You can see this team making progress. We still have a long way to go but I'm pleased we keep making progress. Just keep improving.

Exactly. Negativeville must suck. We can all agree a W like this is huge.

Obviously still early but do you guys think 11-7 in the Big 12 would get us in the tournament?

Need six more wins:
vs TCU, @TCU, vs ISU, @Texas Tech, vs WVU, vs Baylor

Or drop one of those and win one of:
vs K-State, @ISU, vs Kansas, @OSU, @Texas

I really like the chances of getting to 20-10 and 11-7 in conference...would that get us in? Gotta think that plus a win in the Big XII tourney would. 21-9 doesn't seem THAT far fetched either.

That was a very nice win for OU, and quality road wins are hard to come by in the Big 12. I still like our NCAA tournament chances with a pretty easy schedule in the last 8 games. Hopefully we can pull out another win against K-State at home.

11-7 gets OU in the tournament

Grooms was in the game briefly in the first half and came right back out. Suspect that he is still having trouble with the ankle.

I think we got to playing tight and not to lose in the last 6-8 minutes. Osby particularly turned down some open shots.

Some yelling about Kruger not calling the timeout. Clearly he was saving it in case he needed it to get the ball in bounds in crunch time. I don't have a problem with him saving it.

Good win. Played very well part of the game. No one plays well a whole game that often.

We have a shot at sweeping the state of Texas and our chances for the Big Dance just got better.

Considering we have 2 frosh playing in the backcourt, we can expect more games like this. Ball security the last few minutes of the game is an issue for us. I think it will get better, but how soon?

I will definitely take the win, though. :clap

I think OU can win 8 or 9 more conference games. I see no reason to say KSU beats OU in Norman. I also like OUs chances against those other four games you have as losses. I am not suggesting OU wins them all, I am just saying I think OU is in all of those games with a chance to win.
