OU not a Major Job!!

Heard this on the radio from Bo Williams. NC State is the job allot of people want becuase of the ACC. He said that OU has to come up with a firm plan on where the program is going then the good coaches will put there name in the hat. NBA has hurt OU allot. You have to get a big name to get the program stability. Also, he says OU made a big mistake on not giving Capel a least a change to bring the program back up to where it should be. He says OU has a top 10 womens coach in NCAA....

Bo Williams is one of the best AAU coaches in America and he knows what is going on more than about 90 % of the idiots that talk about who might coach here. He said at the time of Capel's hiring that OU might look at him and he was right. He knows what kids look at in a school and where they might be going. He know's most coaches in the NCAA so, I believe that gives him allot of credit. CoolM you should now the name if you have been following NCAA basketball as much as you have. Look up Bo Williams and see if he is a idiot!!!

I've met tons and tons of AAU coach's, including Bo Williams, and MOST of them are idiots. Bo seems like a smart guy so I will give him the benefit of the doubt, but to say the NBA has hurt OU basketball is a form of cognitive dissonance I haven't seen in awhile, then to tout the NC State job? Bo was drunk.

I don't think NC State is a better than OU, but I do agree that the NBA has hurt the Sooners and the Cowboys, We haven't been able to fill Lloyd Noble consistently since the NBA came here, even our Elite Eight team wasn't filling the place with the #1 draft pick, OState went down on season tickets for a reason, pretty bad when Bedlam cant even sell out.

NC State has no NCAA hanging over them. Bo is a good guy when it comes to the most bone head AAU coaches. It was not a personal opinion he gave but, the opinion of mosts coaches around the NCAA. He has nothing to gain by saying anything bad about OU. Also, look where NC State plays there games, big recruiting plus. I called in to the radio station and talked to him about it and he says he doesnt really know who OU will pick but we cant make mistake again or it will set us backs years.....

Thanks for posting. However, it sounds like Bo is speaking from ignorance and doesn't follow us very closely, because I think he is very wrong.
