OU offers two in-state players from Mustang

My opinion isn't based on TV announcers or media. I saw it with my own eyes.

5 foot 9, which is probably generous.. hes more athletic then phil forte for osu who starts currently for osu

That's my definition of top guard.

You need to work on your understanding of the English language. You are attempting to use the phrase top HS player to be equivalent to top 150 HS D-1 basketball recruits. There is a big difference between those two things.

Lots of guys are top HS players and not good enough to play D-1 basketball.

You're reading way to much into what I'm saying....splitting hairs.

I was referring to them, as seniors in college, guarding Woodard now. No matter how you want to paint it, they were average to below average on most other skills other than shooting. BTW, Page was like a 40% career shooter (38% 3p). Not bad, but not great either.

Even if this is true, they were average to below average for major conference college basketball players. That is a lot different than being average or below average for HS basketball players or even top HS basketball players. Paige started at OSU and earned his starting spot by the end of his freshman season.

I don't follow high school basketball but I think it is safe to say Keiton Paige was not only a top offensive high school basketball player but also a top defensive high school basketball player. He is too fast, too coordinated and posses a huge vertical to not have been a very good defensive high school basketball player. Beyond that you went so far to suggest they couldn't defend top HS players after four years of college experience.

I am not splitting hairs. I am simply discussing what you said.

Jordan Woodard was a top 150 player. There are over 1,500 high school players in Oklahoma. We have 50 states and Oklahoma is a small state. I am pretty confident there are over 150,000 high school basketball players. That puts Jordan Woodard in the 99.9th percentile. Why not define top HS players as one and done players or guys like Lebron and Kobe that didn't even go to college.

Well, IMO comparing Long to those guys is unfair to them and they him. First off, I'm not sure EITHER of those two would have been able to handle the riggers of large school basketball when they were freshmen and sophomore age. I KNOW they couldn't guard many large school top guards like Long can/has. I'm not sure they could've guarded many top HS guards when they graduated from college.

Long has never shot the ball like them and more than likely never will.

Yes you did.

I meant I didn't SUGGEST it, I actually said it and believe it.

I would again suggest you work on your English. You clearly only suggested it by saying I am not sure. Were you simply saying it, you should not have qualified the opinion. At this point, you are just being ridiculous.

Good grief.

LK has been in Mustang these past two nights observing the young Broncos team

He sat about 2 rows behind me. I approached him after the game and told him how proud I was of the job he's done. Such a gracious dude. Sat right in the stands with the rest of us.

Pretty great that he was out recruiting after the big win.

Thanks for the update, Caleb! Long had a nice game with 16 points and 9 boards. Keep 'em coming.
