Again! Opie "fouled" on the three.
C. J. also giving great minutes.
77-64 final score. The game wasn't really that close. I would love to see this OU team every night. Why does Reid Gettys think OSU has a shot at the big dance?
These announcers can truly kiss my ass. Robert Allen wouldn't have slobbered over the Cowboys more than these guys did. We're up 15 in the final two minutes, and all they could talk about was oswho.
And why do they view oswho as being such a contender for the NCAA tourney? What nonsense.
It's a lot easier to make them when you can just dribble down and fire them with no conscience.
Is that supposed to be a dig? If so, it fails and is misplaced. Kids who take hundreds of shots a day to master a craft gain confidence from practice, and also previous success of seeing the ball go in at a high percentage. Should he lose confidence and clam up/stop shooting if he misses a couple? Why would he, he's a great shooter and has earned the right to put up shots. Shooters with too much conscience get gun-shy and fail.
Besides, everyone uses the same ball, rims are all 10 feet and the 3 pt line is about 20 feet out. If not having a conscience makes it easier to make 3s then I hope all our guys stop having a conscience so they can score more. Sounds like a positive trait to me.
Not a dig at all, an observation. Earlier in the game in the flow of the offense he missed a ton of shots. Later in the game when it didn't really matter and he could just dribble down and launch or come off one screen and launch he made a ton of them. There was no pressure, the game was basically decided.
Your point is semi-valid. Many of his makes did come during garbage time. But he made a few during their "unbelievable" (tm Reid Gettys) comeback, too.
