OU popular choice to fall as a 5 seed

OSU will beat Gonzaga, they are not very good this year.

They will get trounced by Arizona though.

Gonzaga is a bad matchup for OSU.

They go 7'1'' 296 and 6'9'' 245 in the post. OSU will need to get hot to win, IMO. In fact, I think they need 20+ and some efficiency out of Smart, Forte, and Brown because I don't think they will get much in the paint. They only have 5 players that are worth a ****.

I think a better comparision would be how Krueger has done in the NCAA's and he hasnt won a game since 2008

Nobody grows up wanting to play basketball for NDSU. Even North Dakota kids go anywhere else if they get an offer (Joe Hanstad Boise St)

As for your statements about how other teams would fair in the Summit. Well we cant really base any statements around facts. Because the fact is the teams you named dont play Summit teams on the road or neutral court. Its just how the food chain works in major college sports, big boys dont meddle with the younger brothers unless its on their terms or they are forced to play them by the NCAA. Anybody can get up and play in all the great arenas that the Big 12 has to offer. But would all these 3 and 4* players have the strength to get up for a game in front of 900 people at IUPUI? How about a bus trip to Fort Wayne to take on IPFW 2 days later? It is two completely different animals, but I can tell you one thing, not one of those teams you mentioned beats NDSU 5 out of 10 times on a neutral floor. Crappy conference or not, the Bison are legit if they come with their A game.

Personally, I think those teams beat NDSU 7 or 8 out of 10 on a neutral court.

Just have Neal play pg. People are freaking out over these NDSU players. Not one kid on that team is as good as Wiggins, Ejim, Kane, Smart, Brown, Foster, etc. etc.

OU simply needs to play a solid game and OU will win. OU has the better players.

Yes a majority of the offense is run through Braun and there are stretches in the game where he is operating as the point guard. LA is the primary PG

and that is the fun part, neither of us will ever be able to prove each other is wrong. I wish more big boys were willing to play on the road vs the smaller competitive schools. that is what makes the tourney so fun.

Gonzaga gets their mojo from Pangos and Bell...lock them down and you cut-off the head of the snake. Dower may go wild but you can live with that. The big polish dude won't be able to keep up with a frantic pace.

I agree. The best part of the tournament is when the little guys win games unless it is against my school.

I don't think the big schools will ever agree to play the small schools. There is virtually no upside for the big schools. If they win, they were supposed to win. If they lose, it hurst them. Plus TV doesn't want those games at least as it currently exists.

If I were making the decisions for OU, I wouldn't agree to play NDSU in Fargo.

agree with your last point not sure about the TV or no upside. Committee is putting more stock into OOC games and being willing to play a tough team on the road may be more favorable to them than hosting a bad team from the Sun Belt. there are schools that can get some national attention on tv and Gonzaga leads the group. problem is most schedules are done years out so its tough to gauge who will be good in 3 years from now

One thing you can hang your hat on is that OU has lost to Manhattan, Indiana State and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Louisiana Lafayette and Dayton. So anything can happen. That Louisiana Lafayette team beat OU in the regular season that same year. Some times the little schools do have the better teams.

Does anyone honestly think North Dakota State would have finished 2nd in the Big 12? Maybe their pick is based on match ups I don't know about. Seems like they're picking against us just for the sake of picking an upset.
