OU shouldn't count on quick fix >>> The Oklahoman

Agree, today Oklahoma basketball is in worse shape than when Capel took over.

This article coming from J.Rohde is comicle, true but comicle.Rohde usally could give a flip about OU in any sport,he really only shows himself when adversity confronts OU.Go Sooners!!!!!

Sooner8, I totally agree w/ your point about Rhode. He's all over it when OU's down.

(But I don't agree with your spelling of the word "comical"!)

The "quickest" fix would be to get a new head coach.

so what would be the "quick" fix, Quick?

I put "quick" in quotes for a reason... it's quite obvious this disaster isn't going to be remedied in one/two years... not to mention the fact that many have varying ideas on what it means for the program to be "fixed"

No pun intended? lol

I don't know that there is a quick fix other than putting our eggs in this years recruiting class and hoping we hit Black Jack! I do think Capel probably has one year to show improvement or we will be getting that new coach. I still want Tubby!

Perhaps others have more patience than I have with the mistakes of a young coach, but I just don't think the Capel experiment is working out too well, nor do I think he will be able to "fix" this sunken ship.

I just don't see the reasoning behind prolonging the inevitable.

Capel had his chance and utterly blew it.

I could care less what he may potentially bring in, as far as recruits go; I'm convinced he's way in over his head here at OU and doesn't belong in this program. It's just too bad he gets to ride on the coattails of Blake Griffin's success only to prolong his tenure here.

Its amazing what one disasterous year can do. Not only has it completely wiped out year 2 and 3 for Capel, but it has minimized everything he has done. Why listen to Taylor or Blake, when they credit Capel with improving their games to the point they got to last year. Blake wasn't the best player in the country coming out of high school. He wasn't the best player in the country after his freshman year. It's possible to condemn Capel for what he did this year, without belittling what he did accomplish in the past.

Add LL and AJ to that list as well, and Cade. All have credited Capel with getting better but Blake has been probably the most vocal about it. Most just think he just did it on his own and Dick Vitale could have improved him like that. Ummmm NO!
