We don't seem to be playing with a lot of energy and intensity. Too much dribbling at times which is exactly what a zone defense wants us to do.

Hope Aaryn is ok. That said, this team is very resilient. I tip my hat to them. If they make the tourney, I thinks it's quite an accomplishment.

Good response by the ladies to a bad start. TCU jumped out to an 11-0 lead, and we have reeled off a 54-20 reply.

Score now 54-31

I am not able to watch the game. Was Aaryn hurt? I had noticed that she wasn't scoring or doing much...

Aaryn is now back on the bench but walking gingerly during timeouts. Fingers crossed it's only a bruise.

It looks like she turned her right ankle. When it happened, it didn't look all that bad. Apparently, she got her right ankle tangled with a TCU player's leg as Vegas was falling. It must have been how she was tangled because she didn't land on the right ankle.

Aaron, hurt her ankle early in the second half and didn't return. However, she did return to the bench towards the end of the second half in her uniform and shoes (ie it didn't appear she had ice on her ankle or have it in a brace or anything). She was moving rather gingerly, but if I had to guess I'd say it would be more of a nuisance rather than anything that would keep her out for a long time.

Ironically, after she left, we played great. Sherri moved Morgan to the 2, and had Hartman at the point. Jasmine did a great job of running the offense, and everyone got involved due to what I thought was excellent ball movement.

Chelsea Dungee and her parents were in attendance tonight also.

Baylor 9-0
Oklahoma 6-2
Texas Tech 6-3
Iowa State 5-4
Oklahoma State 4-4
Kansas 4-4
West Virginia 4-5
Kansas State 3-5
Texas 1-7
TCU 0-8

I had the impression that the TCU talent was much better than the TCU team.

We didn't really play all that well except for about three stretches. We did play good defense after that 11-0 start, especially when Jasmine came in. If not for Jasmine's defense, we might have had difficulty when we lost Vegas.

Sherri said Aaryn is fine but will probably be off for a couple of days.

Getting 17 bench points was outstanding! Morgan had 8 assists and Jaz added 9 more which is the most I can remember in a long time.

Jo pulled down some rebounds with authority tonight.

It looked like Sherri made some nice adjustments at half. Norm you're right, you can't beat a zone dribbling all over the court. The passing in the second half was crisper and got the defense moving. Some really nice feeds inside to free up Sharane and Nicole to knock down the three ball. Good win, hope Aaryn is okay for West Virginia, we will need her. Really proud of Nicole K's play tonight. Really nice all around game, hope she is coming into her own for the conference stretch drive.

Not only did Morgan and Jaz have 17 assists between them, but also they had only 3 turnovers between them.

Outstanding stat!

I sure hope that Kornet gained the confidence needed to continue the good shooting in the future. She has a good looking shot and it was good seeing those shots dropping last night.
