Sherri will be here AT LEAST through the next year in order to get the next class in a producing way with what should be a solid group of underclassmen.
I think she has this season and next to take this team closer to past levels of success.
If she is unable to do that, then I think higher ups MIGHT consider a change by giving her a top administrative post in the athletic department and/or letting her teach along with a big pay off and tremendous retirement celebration for all she's done.
I don't think they will ever fire her, even if, at some point, she deserves it. Her history here gives her more protection than a normal coach would get in this situation.
In fact, I think she is the kind of person who would ask for a reassignment if she thought she was seriously faltering in her job.
