OU vs osu 11am CST on CBS

3 more wins OU is a mortal lock

Disagree. We don’t have 3 more regular season games. Even if we win our last 2, that’s 7-11 conference record. I think we need to win at least 2 games in KC and that’s IF we win out last 2. I still think we lose on the road at ksu.

This team is getting credit for losing to good teams. This OU team just isn’t very good.

Lol. This is not accurate

Boulder, we are 48 in net ranking and wont move much if at all even if we beat wvu and kstate as they are both well behind us. Where do you think our net ranking needs to be at for being a mortal lock? As many losses as we have I think top 33ish? I believe we will have to make noise in kc depending what other bubble teams do the next two weeks.

If you go to http://www.bracketmatrix.com/ you’ll see that that overwhelming majority of bracket experts don’t have OU making the tournament. They don’t even OU as a last 4 out. It’s closer to last 12 out.

Also, that website also ranks each bracket expert every season to see how accurate their predictions were with the actual bracket results. Since they’ve been measuring rankings in 2016 Lundari/ESPN isn’t even one of the top 50 most accurate bracket experts.

And those people are idiots.

I'm an idiot. So are these guys.

Politics is in everything. Including the NCAA tournament selectin committee. If one doesn't know this, one isn't paying attention.

Trae's popularity and the eyes he brought to TV sets in 2017-18 drug OU over the finish line in 2018. Same record and metrics, OU is playing a home game in the NIT that year.

NCAA tournament tv ratings are always good and it doesn’t matter who the players are. And the question no one on here has ever answered is this: if they wanted us in so people could watch TY, why did they assign us to an 11:00 am game on Thursday??

I know you own the place, and we're forever in your debt for providing us a forum to discuss Oklahoma Basketball, but the smarminess is not the best look.

Smarminess is frequently encountered on this board (I'm certainly guilty of it at times). I would say Boulder is one of the least contentious posters on the board, so I'm not sure why you singled him out in this instance. Is it because he's an admin?

And was his comment really worse than, say, your long series of "bat signal" posts that seemed to be aimed at silence/shaming anyone who dared to speak up on behalf of Coach Kruger? I'd say no, but then I'm one of those reviled Kruger non-haters, so perhaps my opinion doesn't count.

Don’t let those facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory, Wichita! Prime time Trae at 11 am Thursday.

Lol, I know, the facts don’t make for nearly as fun a story as conspiracy theories.

I'm glad Marv is finally putting it together and doing what he needs for more minutes.
From the first time I saw him on the court this year, you could tell he was built different than the rest of the team.

OK, somehow explain to me how Virginia is now out unless they win the tourney?

Their NET is 81 … several spots below West Virginia, which is the lowest Big 12 team. They have 5 quad 3 losses, which is four more than the Sooners. Take away their win at Duke, and they have had an awful season. And honestly, they were far away from the bubble even before Saturday’s loss.

I miss the old days honestly.
It seems asinine to me that a team 3 games over .500 in the ACC is out already but a team that is 5-11 in the big 12 still has a shot if things go their way.

Like what are we even doing?

So teams dont schedule all cupcakes if it was just off records

I mean, they play in the ACC. I don't follow national college bball very closely anymore. Is the ACC not considered one of the best conferences still? Have they fallen that much?

Maybe I'm just old and need another cup of coffee.

It just seems like everything is rated more and more based on calculations and advanced metrics instead of wins and loses. Are we going to get to a point where we don't even keep track of loses? WVU has 3 conference wins but are rated higher than virginia? really?

this is a solid point I could have and should have disagreed in a more mature way ..

thank you for point this out

and i apologize for the "smarminess" of my response ..
