Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

Whether they are playing tech or TCU I still am dumbfounded as why Mulkey receives ball so far from rim.

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

Would like to see Mulkey get a few more touches when she's in...

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

If she would be closer to the rim she could get plenty from rebounds alone

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

Would like to see Mulkey closer to the bsket.

Officiating has been horrid. The last foul call on Ortiz was terrible.

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

Biggest scratch your head in this game the 5'7 kids try to pass over the top and the 6'9 kid puts the ball in the floor

We are struggling right now. Foul situation with Vivi is hurting big time.

I wonder when a coach is going to scream at Vivi to go straight up with her arms on defense and quit slapping down. 90 percent of her fouls are of that type.

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

I don't understand our offense or defense.....

I see Mulkey setting screens all over the floor....sometimes she's 17 foot from the goal. Why doesn't SC have one of the guards set Mulkey a screen so she can receive the ball down near the goal?????

And having her play defense up at the ft line leaves me smh. Put her down by the goal and play a matchup zone or a 1-3-1 zone.

JMO

And jmo, but that was a sloppy last half of the second quarter. Turrrrrible.

Getting any defender to get vertical and stay vertical is a major project for virtually any coach not named Geno when you would think every player learns that in defense 101. But not so!!! Beats me.

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

OU comes out of the half with a purpose.

Leads by 12. TCU takes a time-out.

Keep it up!

Re: OU vs. Texas Tech

First half was hard to watch....How many fouls were called on OU and how many turnovers did we have???? Seems like 30 on each......I know it wasn't, but it seemed like it.....

Maddie with a three. up nine with a minute left in the 3rd.

Vivi with a couple of buckets down low.

I really don't know why she wouldn't shoot only shots around the bucket. All of TCU's posts are in foul trouble.

Well, some of us said we would be 12-6. A couple were even more optimistic. Tonight, we made certain that we would win at least 13. This team is a bit better than I had anticipated, and the Big Twelve is a bit weaker.

Glad that our core of Maddie, Vivi, and Gabbi were there tonight. Between them, they were 15 of 28 from the field, five of eight from three, 11 of 16 from the free throw line for a total of 46 of our 73 points. Carter with 8, Mulkey with 6, and Dungee with 5 were some help.

We got really sloppy in the second quarter without Vivi--23 turnovers? We haven't seen that for a while.

If the statistic numbers on Soonersports.com and ESPN are correct, Maddie became the team's leading scorer tonight. Maddie has averaged 12.73 ppg, whereas Peyton has averaged 12.72.

In conference play, after tonight's games:

OU

Vivi 14.41
Maddie 12.93
Peyton 12.71
Gabbi 11.41
Four in double figures

Rebounding

Gabbi 5.47

Assists
Gabbi 4.29
Maddie 2.64
Peyton 1.65

FG% (20+ shots)
Vivi 53.44%
Nancy 47.54%
Maddie 43.62%
Gioya 42.20%

Three point percentage
Maddie 46.67%
Gabbi 38.36%
Peyton 32.56%
Curious fact----Maddie, Gabbi, and Peyton have each hit 28 threes in conference play.

Free throw percentage
Chelsea 86.84%
Gabbi 82.76%
Gioya 78.38%
Vivi 77.63%
