UTSA is a perfect non-conference game... respectable mid-major in your recruiting area, they have good players, well coached, etc.
These types of games help you get better, they test your team, and your risk of losing isn't significantly high.

You’re not alone. I think we’re all anxious to see OU’s season get underway.
I enjoy college basketball even when the Sooners aren’t playing. But my interest would fade in a hurry if I didn’t have a reason to look forward to watching my favorite team.

Williams is actually the exact type of guy that I could see being able to manage this. He would tear up the 4s on the offensive end off the dribble ... defensively, he's big and strong enough to stay in front of them and a good enough leaper to challenge shots and rebound. Would be an interesting experiment.
