This is expected to go down around 11 p.m. tonight, and our hosting company says the site may be down for 15 minutes or so. So hopefully this will help us handle the postgame traffic increase for the rest of the season.

The problem is the site seems to crash when we get about 250-300 online at once. I'm not sure how many users this new server upgrade will be able to handle, because it seems to take about 24-36 hours before I get a response from our server company, but that is neither here nor there and we're at least on the schedule for an upgrade tonight at 11.

Anyway, hopefully the extra juice we get tonight helps us get through tomorrow and the future. If it doesn't, I'll attempt to bump it up again.

Thank you, OUHoops. I would like to know if there is any way that we could help fund the site? Have you considered putting up a paypal donate button or anything of the sort? I just think that folks such as myself would be willing to help shoulder some of the cost to keep this site up and running.

Yes, that's next on the list. Hopefully coming next week.

Hoops, one of the shared servers we have at godaddy is $29 a month and the site we host on it has over 30,000 uniques a day and is never close to capacity.

Not sure who your host is but you should also check into Amazon Web Services. Some of their packages are even free.

Actually hoops. I have quite a few servers and would be will to host the site for free on one of them if you want. It all depends on the technical specs.
