Point Guards

Two points.....

1. Anybody that doesn't think point guard play is important, or that below average point guard play (offensively speaking) is okay, just look at North Carolina. I think at one point they had 4 McDAA's on the floor with the backup point guard (starter isn't playing, injured), and they look like crap. All game. WAY out of sync.

2. Anybody that thinks it is easy, and that every good team has a great backup point guard, again, just look at NC. No offense, but that backup of theirs isn't much better than Blair.

I had those same thoughts in watching an underdog #13 seed Ohio come within inches of winning the game in regulation. The Tarheels had 23 turnovers. Good guard play, especially at the point, is crucial to any team's success.

I do agree with you, but this UNC team was also the victim of shellshock after losing their point.

Hats off to a game effort from Ohio, but this game was much more about what UNC didn't do as what Ohio did.

IMO UNC gets a ton of mileage out of this OT win and the weeper gets them to play with muich more abandon on D.

Guess I'm one of the few that actually like Williams? Doesn't cheat, cares about his kids, and puts good basketball teams on the floor. Other than the fact that he beat our butts when he was at KU, what's not to like?
