Would totally be fine with missing on Garrison but getting Daily and Keller. They both are athletic, physically ready to play, and high upside. Justin McBride is another good young player on that roster. He was once considered a top 15 player until a knee injury in high school. Surprised he didn’t play more this year for OSU.
Garrison is a much bigger need then daily if moore stays ... keller is a power guard that can't shoot ... so no thanks

Quality big men are expensive (NIL) just don’t think OU has a chance, unless he wants to come home. Keller has more upside than any OU guard. If OU can get a player the caliber of Daily you take him. Need to be more athletic to play in the SEC

This is 100% accurate. I’m envisioning McCollum, portal, cooper, Moore and Garfison and we’ll, I’m excited.

Garrison is a bigger need, but he will have his pick of schools to choose from. I’m not saying don’t recruit him, but I would be shocked if he chose OU considering his background.

Garrison would have to be willing to sit behind Dickinson and Adams for a year, so that may make it tough for them to land him.
I guess I thought Dickinson was going pro after this year.

What background are you talking about? If he wants to stay close to home so his family can be close, OU makes a lot of sense.

He can make more money at KU than he can in the G League. It would be a really strange move on his part to turn down another year of being a BMOC with a big bank account so he can start playing for less money and less glory.
Agreed. With NIL, those going pro decisions look much different.

Rumor was Dickinson made about $900K in NIL to go to KU. Staying may up that even more.

It’s been mentioned on this board before that during his high school recruitment he never had any interest in OU. He grew up an OSU fan and has a brother on their football team. OU makes perfect sense for him and he would start immediately. If it wasn’t for Boynton, he would be at a blue blood.

The Garrison stuff seems too good to be true. Put me in the “I’ll believe when I see it” group when it comes to landing coveted big men from the portal. Our hit rate over the last 3 seasons has been about 1 out of 100 in that department. And the only reason we could afford hugley was due to his injury and health concerns, so he may not even qualify as a coveted portal big man.

If we landed garrison, it could be a signal that OU is getting more competitive with NIL. That would give me some real hope for the future.

Obviously didn’t turn out great but I think Tanner Groves drew a solid amount of interest a few years ago

A great center and a better 3pt shooting point guard is what Moser needs for his system to click. Really be a good sign if we could get Garrison. I am skeptical with our NIL level for bball. If that changes it will be an exciting portal season.
