Porter to.........Villanova???

Villanova is struggling because it is a small Catholic school and the NIL is not keeping up with their competition. However, it has traditionally been a national power in basketball. For some reason, the entire Philly area which has always been strong in hoops is struggling. Now is Porter the answer, ??????

if this is true...nova fans are going to looooooooove moser

Yup. The normal clowns that we all have identified. Wichatard the leader of the bunch. Boomer
TBH, he leans negative and gets a lot of ****. But far worse offenders, he has informed takes (the BH one notwithstanding lol). No problem with his general thought process, even if it’s bordering on an all-consuming hatred of Moser at this point.

Ultimately was hoping it’s possible to talk about OU basketball without every conversation being hijacked into hyperbolic shitting on the head coach. Especially when the team is playing well and in the tournament.

I know most will enjoy the ride for at least a couple more days. So it goes…

I learned a long time ago that legends should NEVER be allowed to pick their successors. From a psychology (not to mention EGO) standpoint, they don't want their successor to achieve quite the same levels they did. I first heard this logic back in the 1980s when Minnesota Vikings head coach Bud Grant hand-picked a guy named Les Steckel to be his successor. Steckel was so bad that he didn't make it past one season (extremely rare occurrence 40 years ago). That's when I first read a long article about not allowing a legend to name his successor. And over the past 40 years, I've seen literally nothing to counter that argument.

Jay Wright should have had no say in his replacement or any future Villanova head coach. Props to Moser if he can somehow land this coveted job, but I am having a very difficult time believing Villanova isn't going to set their sights higher than Moser or Collins.
Bud passed the reins to Gomer Jones who lasted only a couple of years

Not a subscriber so I don't know how many posts Trilly has put out on the subject, but this is EXACTLY why you can't trust these guys.

At 3:13 PM, he puts something out that says "Moser to Villanova picking up steam". Then at 6:49 PM, he says SOURCES: Willard has an offer.

Now, unless Kevin Willard had the same rapid hire process Lincoln Riley had, those two statements cannot both be true. It just shows guys like this, and the OU inside reporters on TOS, just throw stuff out there so if it happens it looks like they had inside info before anyone else reported it. The EXACT same thing happened on PM and DePaul last year.

Yeah, the info may be slower but when guys like Rothstein and Borzello report it, then at least you know it's reliable and can be trusted.

IMO, a lot of anxiety was created, and ultimately some disappointed message board posters, over a story that was never really a story.

trilly is one of those guys you mentioned

One thing is for sure, Moser’s agent is annoying as hell. Why do you feel the need to float his name out there for every open job? I mean DePaul? Seriously?
Also, does Trilly not check these reports with a second source before reporting it? If Porter's agent calls you about Villanova, maybe check with someone at Villanova before reporting it?

His agent is smart, if Nova is thinking about hiring pm then we should consider him...what he wants programs to think around the country
