Porter to.........Villanova???

I wanted to keep Uzan, Oweh, and Javian. But it's a lot easier to retain guys when you've made the tourney 2/3 years rather than missing three straight. We also wouldn't have landed Fears if we retained that trio.

Once that exodus happened and we were clearly impotent in the portal, I felt it was a clear mistake to have retained Porter. But all things considered, making the 9 seed was a good result. I'm just not sure where we go from here with another hard reset.
We didn't have the money to retain Oweh. Javian was shown the door. And Uzan needed a change.

Oweh should have been retained over Moore.
This team had great leadership and it showed, Moore from all accounts was the leader that kept this group together. Nobody is happy this ended the way it did but this group fought their asses off when it could have fell apart multiple times. Easy group to route for just sad to see it end.

Can you guys imagine how bad this year would have been if Fears hadn’t fallen in our lap?? Porter was just gonna roll with that squad. Jalon primary and Duke secondary creators. Adios Porter, don’t let the door hit ya. (Please please please leave)
No that’s simply not true. Jason Jones and Nwanku were brought in before Fears I think. They were supposed to be key pieces and would have helped.

I don't believe Oweh got offered more than Moore. In fact, of the four, he may have been offered the least. And I don't think Fears was getting chump change. We made strong offers for Pedulla and Garrison as well. We could have kept Oweh if we prioritized him.

Again, NO ONE here would have prioritized Oweh over Moore last year. But I've been told Kentucky made him a good offer that we couldn't match.

I believe that. UK has way more money. But at the same time, Moore was our top priority to retain, and I don't see any way he would not have been offered more on the open market.

Moore was #1 on everybody's list. 2-4 had variability, but Oweh as #4 on more people's list than #2.

Not on mine. Oweh was #2 on my list. And I think he was #2 on OU's list. He was the one with the most upside and athleticism. Uzan obviously wanted to be elsewhere. And Javian OBVIOUSLY wanted to be elsewhere.

Most physically gifted of the three, but worst basketball skills of the three by a mile.

Yeah. That doesn't sound like a coach that thinks he can win here. And as I've been saying, EVERY SINGLE COACH people are talking about is going to balk on the OU job when they see how it's supported.
You're so full of **** on this issue
