Porter to.........Villanova???

Was just coming here to post that. He's saying a lot without saying anything. We didn't retain players because we didn't have enough money to retain players.

I think he's also mentioning the importance of how you end the season. We wouldn't have needed as much NIL had we finished strong. It also would have been easier to ask donors for it.

By all accounts, we had good packages for Pedulla and Garrison. Nobody wanted to play for a team that missed the tourney three years straight.

We didn't have good enough packages for Pedulla and Garrison or they would have been in Norman.

Cheers. Especially after his whining ass is already lobbing excuses on why the ou job and program is essentially beneath him.. this, from the 55% career winning coach.
News flash Moser. You ain’t getting a job that is gonna have much more NIL than OU. Because you’re a .500 coach!!!

Sure.. and back in the day if we had more prestige, we would have gotten kalena azibuke, sheldon williams, Daniel orton.. While we're talking about magical wishes, I thought I'd throw out my better prestige wish ifs and buts

I am staying out this argument but what random mix of names lol. I have not thought about Daniel Orton in a long time

Yeah. That doesn't sound like a coach that thinks he can win here. And as I've been saying, EVERY SINGLE COACH people are talking about is going to balk on the OU job when they see how it's supported.
Yep I’m sure McCollum is raking in huge NIL at Drake. Rumor is, those D-2 guys he brought with him are all making seven figures.

Dude, you're ****ing dense.

But McCollum is a GREAT coach. He's won nattys. And he won't come anywhere near Norman.

First okie kids i could think of that went to bluebloods. Azibukie destroyed my childhood heroes in state lol. He had an alleyoop dunk off of the friggin tipoff even!

That man is just so full of excuses.
It feels like he sought Bob out to make excuses on video.

Yes, you need more NIL money to compete at this level.

But you also need to be MUCH better at retention factors that aren't just NIL-related (role, being liked, etc), portal evaluations, having a better portal plan, and selling your program.

By all accounts, both got bags dropped. That's the name of the game today.
By all accounts, we made very strong offers. Even elite programs often have to be able to land people where they are only the second or third largest offer.

Uzan and Oweh were more highly recruited out of HS than after their sophomore years. It wasn't all about the bag.

For Uzan, it wasn't about the bag for sure. For Oweh, my understanding is it was. Uzan needed a change of scenery.

Says rando internet man to another rando internet man. But you're definitely right for now, bc we don't have an open spot (yet :D)

Love the narrative we lost guys from last year due to NIL. Uzan took a discount to go to Houston. He wanted to not just make the tourney, but win and develop. It’s a joke to say he left because of money. Who knows on Oweh but let’s not forget that he wasn’t even starting by the end of last year and lots on this board thought he would be a role player at best at UK. Funny what happened when two better coaches got their hands on those guys.

I think McCollum is great, but this is the best roster he will ever have there. Perfect chemistry and a star like Stirtz.
