Is it common for assistants to have buyouts?
It is becoming more common. I know Crutchfield did when he left Arkansas (I was told it was 100k) but they waived it because he was going to East Central and not a competitor.

Dont think BT wants to be PG. He wants some freedom to play. a little 1v1 is where he is best. Great coaches adopts to his players. there would be a package for BT.
Porter offense allows some 1v1 at certain times.
When you say package, are we talking an LSU type package ($$$) or a BT ISO package to get a bucket when you need it?
Is he good enough to be a 1st round pick after another year? If so the both Tulsa and osu can make sense.OU makes the most sense for so many reasons:
Consistent postseason success
Coach who went to final four
Three current NBA “stars” (using that term loosely — popular players)
Best chance for deep tourney run
Then you look at OSU and Tulsa and go:
I know the coaches
I can shoot 20 times a game
Going to be a really interesting announcement.

He’s “the guy” do he’d get full open to make his name. At OU he’ll be in a system so maybe not “the guy”.
Just a thought
I can’t envision a scenario where he is a first round pick a year from now regardless of where he goes.
