Post scoring

Agree. We don't have an inside game. Team play inside out. We are just a perimeter team.

Wish our bigs would dedicate to shooting like our guards. Practice shooting mid-range jumpers and post move.

AK looks like he could potentially fill that role. Too bad he doesn't play

So 24 combined points from Buford, Lattin and Spangler against a team with solid bigs doesn't do it for you guys?

I liked it. That's all this team needs. Just crushed the #13 ranked team in their house and OU is a pretender the way their bigs are playing. Please.

When the other team plays almost exclusively zone we're going to shoot the three. We're just too good not too. Rebounding by Spangler and Lattin could have been better but even that improved in the second half.

Clown thread. Our bigs are getting better each game

So I guess we don't need an inside game when the game is close. All we need is shoot 3 pointers the rest of the NCAA tournament and be a final four team :facepalm

I hate to let facts get in the way of rhetoric but maybe you were watching a different game that I was. I saw us make 16 of 22 2-point shots against an athletic zone defense. I'll take that any day.

If you are attempting to say that the strength of this team is guards then everyone already knows that.

That's OK. We knew what is our weakest. We need to develop it and develop it fast before the NCAA tournament. Winning is good but we need to improve as well. And we know what we need to improve.

Seriously newbie.....I would like to know, if OU is a pretender, then who are the "contenders"? I'll hang up and listen.

Newbie, thanks for the jab. Clearly OU has to get some post scoring. And I'm not talking about Spangler hitting 3s or Lattin hitting 15ft jump shots. I'm talking back to the basket post scoring. When OU gets beat in the sweet 16 because the shooters have a off game, I'll be here to remind you.

I thought 2nd half we def got the post more involved. 20 pts and 20 rub total...by all bigs will b enough for OU to win a ton oh games. Our strength is our guards...that's not a problem.

Having no post production like the isu game hurts..but dang near won that

Umm how many teams in college basketball actually have great post scoring. Low post scoring is nice but the game has evolved into a guard game . We had low post scoring last year...

I am more interested in rebounding than scoring. We need better rebounding.

Not really sure what your intent is here? We all know that our inside game is not the dominant part of our team right now, but they are not as horrible as you may feel. Saying this like this certainly does not make me think you are pulling for OU to be successful. I hope you are nowhere to be seen come the sweet 16. I want OU to win.

This is so dumb. We don't need post scoring, all we need our post players to do is play good post defense and rebound. As long as Spangler, Lattin, and Buford can keep the defense honest, like they did today, we can beat anyone anywhere. Our team is perimeter oriented, with guys like Hield, Cousins, and Woodard it would be crazy if we weren't.

I'm just amazed how many fans we have who rarely say anything good about this team, but they rush to post criticisms (legit or not) even after a ten-point road win (and it wasn't that close) over the #13 team in the country. Are you would-be coaches enjoying this season on any level? That's an honest question. Are you ever able to just enjoy a solid outing by our Sooners and then celebrate the win after final buzzer?

I've seen no sign of it from some of you, and that boggles my mind. What has so far been one of the best seasons in OU history is utterly wasted on some.
