Not usually negative, but:
Too much time taken showing Cloman and Coody who basically did a broadcast that took about half of the practice time with things that mostly had nothing to do with what was going on on the court. It could have been a separate program. I really wanted to see the practice and how the ladies were doing.
Hard to tell at times who was doing what. The black jerseys had no numbers. also the shots seemed to be pretty long and part of the screen was taken up with Coale, who is nice to look at but all I want is to see the action and hear her comments. Don't have to see her.
Still too many missed layups even in the drills and too many bad decisions on passes. Sherri did correct Carter on one of her bad decisions.
Seems like no one was going for rebounds. If it came to them OK, but I didn't see anyone going out of their area to pursue a rebound.
I'm not a fan of Sherri's guy program. She has 15 scholarship players and when the guys are on the court we have 5 players who are not getting practice time. I understand the concept of providing tough competition but it does nothing to build depth which Sherri's teams always seem to be short on.
Thought Maddie looked good and was moving well. Ortiz seems to be pretty heady with the ball. I also agree that Wyatt looked pretty good. Not a lot of crazy passes from her. Couldn't tell anything about the bigs.
It is early and the practice didn't reveal a lot but I didn't see anything that different from last year's team.
