Pritchard decommits

Shrug when they commit.
Shrug when they de-commit.
Celebrate when they sign.

That's how I handle it. I don't know how you recruitniks sift through all the "information" and "sources" and "hunches". The amount of incorrect recruiting info shared on this site over the years has been staggering. Oh, he's SOLID! Got a real good feeling about this visit. He's close to signing.

Groan.

IKWT.

OK. Know I am older. Wtf is IKWT!

I can't go that far but I try. Probably Lon was thrilled with the good news but not overly hurt when the bad news came.

That article lists him at 6'2" with a year of high school left and a very tall father. He might still be growing. If so the notion that he is too small (which I never believed) will go away. I hope he picks Oklahoma. It is shame he is having second thoughts. Maybe McGusty picking OU will influence him.

If we can get him back in the fold, that would be one heck of a guard pairing for the next few years. Mix them in with Odomes, James, and maybe Buford. Might finally have the guard talent to make some serious noise in the Dance.

Don't forget about Kristian Doolittle. He's more of a three, but he should be an important piece to the tall, athletic guards and wings LK and his staff have continued to bring in.

Buddy and Isaiah will be gone. But with the addition of Odomes, James, Buford, Doolittle, McGusty, and hopefully Pritchard, OU has a very bright future, and as you said the backcourt talent to make a deep run in the NCAA tourney.

Pritchard's mom was a gymnast so I would guess she isn't tall. Dad is a big man.

With all the talk about Pritchard being too small. When was the last time we had a PG 6'2" or taller? Austin Johnson at 6'3". Before that I can't recall anyone.

**Terrell Everett 6'4", But the same time as AJ.

Evans 6'1"
Price 6'1"
Ontjes 6'0"
Foster, Tyrone 5'11" (was he a pg)
Corey Brewer 6'1" (was he pg in 97 and 98 - he is 6'2" in 98)
Micheal Johnson 6'0" or J.R. Raymond 6'2" (I think Raymond was a 2)
Hollis 6'1" or Raymond
White 6'1"
Drew Lavender 5'7"
Everett 6'4"
AJ 6'3"
Omar Leary (backup) 6'1"
TMG 5'11"
Blair 6'1"
Grooms 6'1"
Grooms, Cousins 6'3", Hornbeak 6'3"
Woodard 6'0"

That should be everyone that started at pg at OU from 1988 to the present. Only four guys were taller than 6'2" and three of them were not really true pgs (Everett, Cousins and Hornbeak).

I think it is pretty clear a college pg does not need to be tall. TMG was a great college basketball player in terms of skills. Lavender was also perfectly acceptable at 5'7" if not pretty good.
