Question for those in the know (or have a great guess)

Who all comes back next year, including our seniors?

No inside knowledge, but Williams is the only realistic person to return IMO.

Reaves, KK and Manek can all play for money next year. Williams can too, but returning might help him bolster his post-college playing career.

Kur has definitively said he will NOT be returning. That's all we know for sure for now.

My guess is none of them.

Given that exit interviews are taking place, I expect some new offers to go out (or not to go out) based on those convos.

I would love for that to happen. His inconsistency is frustrating, but when he's on, we seldom lose.

I wouldn't mind seeing Williams come back as well.

If Manek does come back, here's hoping he has a season-long stint of good health. His health issues definitely impacted him during the back half of the season.

Manek returning is a possibility

Not ideal in my opinion. Sure the kid struggled to score at times, but he let that affect the rest of his game. Just carried himself with a bad attitude a majority of the time if he wasn't scoring.

When he had to play defense inside against bigger, stronger guys, that affected his offensive production, too.

which unfortunately will be his role again next yr considering who we have on the bench and coming in...unless we get a surprise grad transfer

If Manek returns and is healthy, I believe 6th place in the conference is our floor and we very likely end up finishing in the top half....simply based upon returning production. Our core of Harmon, Harkless, Gibson, and Manek....along with Hill is a pretty decent starting 5. I don't know anything about the freshman, but that core would get us back to the tournament with an even better seed next year IMO. Texas loses a ton...so I think we definitely jump them.

Having said that, it's still extremely important we land another quality big (transfer) and a wing shooter/scorer. I don't know how many schollies we would have available, but that would be my preference.

Coming back next year would allow him to finish his MBA.

i think the wing is handled with the freshman coming in ..

a transfer 4/5 is a huge huge need

so phipps and kruger are the only 2 gone (non-sr's) that we know of?

Wonder if manek will return with a new coach...

All bets are off. We could lose any number of current and incoming players now.

Which is also true if Lon stayed.

We wouldn't lose the incoming players -- he's the coach they signed with. And it seems the only current player we were due to lose was Phipps.

I agree that the seniors were probably gone anyway, but they almost certainly are now.

agree...but that's the case when any coaching change happens. Kruger did his job and was a great good guy. IMHO it was time for him to move on.

I know folks are "concerned" but the reality is our recruits coming in were not high 4 or 5 * star guys. Who knows, whoever we bring in might bring a kid or two as well.
