Quincy Miller

Jay Williams did say at the game tonight that Nash is likely to attend Baylor. He may not know what he is talking about. But it is highly possible that he heard some buzz around the game that would lead him to believe that. I would bet on OSU. Baylor may whiff on all their top targets- Nash, Miller, Madden, Bello, Harrison, Holmes. But I have thought that before and Drew usually closes strong.

DFW,

Do you know what priority baylor has in recruiting right now? What positions and how many you look to take. You guys are in on some many I was wondering who is higher priority than the others. I am having the same problem with OSU recruiting. I figure Nash it the top priority but we have visits coming from Harrison, Hinds, Parker, Leonard, and Nash with a few others but not sure on who they are aiming for. I know we will have 2 schollys available. No one seems to know what Harrison is thinking.

Anybody with some info on who OU is recruiting outside of Miller, Bello, and Henry?

ostate- depends on what coach for Baylor you talk to as to where the recruiting priorities are. As with most staffs, each recruiting assistant has their favorites and they try to lobby for the ones that they think will make the biggest difference. The names I mentioned are the ones they really like in addition to Jakarr Sampson and BJ Young. But both of those guys are academic risks. I think Baylor will take 3 (Dunn, Perry Jones, open scholarship from Bakari Turner not making it academically). They might have to sign one in the Spring if Acy blows up this year and sneaks into the 1st round. NBA scouts are projecting him as a late 1st rounder/early 2nd rounder. Probably two guards and a big. But if they could land 2 of the 3 (Quincy Miller, LeBryan Nash, Jonathan Holmes), they would take two bigger players.

DM- don't have insight into OU recruiting, but I do really like Jarion Henry's game and I think OU will be glad to have him. He's a hothead no doubt. The game I saw him vs Houston Hoops, he threw a punch at a Hoops player that missed. He probably should have been kicked out.

But his motor was high when I watched him. Can get shots whenever he wants them. Relentless around the rim. Good defender. Very good passer. Outside shot needs a lot of work. But I seem him as a potential 3-year starter at the college level and a guy could average 12 pts; 6 rebs; 3 asst; 1 steal; 1 block. Should be a very productive player if he keeps his emotions in check.
