Ranking on Monday

What's your prediction? I have to think after this tourney we will be back in the top 25. Any chance we are left out (again)? And before anyone says it, yes, I realize that it doesn't really mean that much.

We are defintely a top 20 team. I don't think we should have fell out after the Creighton game...but it just goes to show how clueless a lot of the media is. Even some of the local guys here in Tulsa don't have a frickin clue on OU's team this year. Jerkens couldn't even remember that we were playing UCLA before that game!! And they let people like that vote!? (I don't think Jerkens votes, but you get my point).

Maybe Butler is pretty damn good.

Big Time is right. Definitely ranked. OU was 26 last Monday and impressed a lot of national media members this week. Sooners didn't even play that well and had a chance to beat Wisconsin. Will be nice to go on a little run in December and keep working up rankings gradually.

I don't know if we get ranked this week but yes, all in due time. Last years team rode the hot start. This season they are just better way better and will show it in due time.

Butler will almost certainly be ranked after beating UNC and Georgetown. We'll be several spots ahead of them.

Hard to move up or into the AP poll no matter who you lose to. I'd give it two or three more weeks until we're back in the AP poll. But you never know.

What is more important than where OU is ranked is that the conference continues to win non-conference games. A strong showing against the SEC will be a good thing. It is huge to go into conference play with the highest rated conference. It means 6 or even 7 teams will make the NCAA Tournament. A low conference ranking means 5 or possibly only 4 teams making the NCAA Tournament.
