Christmas Day triple double and the game winner with a second left! Dude is the best Sooner currently in the NBA.
He’s carved out a nice career for himself. It’s not always easy playing with superstars like LeBron and Anthony Davis, but he fits in well with them.Christmas Day triple double and the game winner with a second left! Dude is the best Sooner currently in the NBA.

Absolutely flip him!I'm starting to get the feeling LeBron may retire......nothing definitive but just a feeling....I'm curious how much more Reaves can do if it is Davis and him as the main two?
If I'm LA I might seriously consider flipping Davis if LBJ retires for young guys and pics...that would be interesting. I'd rather see that than them mortgage their future to get role players
if LeBron retires after next season the Lakers would have max space to add a star next to AD ... they will reload ..I'm starting to get the feeling LeBron may retire......nothing definitive but just a feeling....I'm curious how much more Reaves can do if it is Davis and him as the main two?

Doesn't look like anyone will be available at that level. Probably would have to trade for someone. Luka and Trae would be coming up on their final seasons. Jimmy Butler will be in his final year in Miami. But is that a guy you can really build around? And if you want to trade for say a Tatum or Brown in Boston you would probably have to give up some of your better assets which would probably include Reaves.if LeBron retires after next season the Lakers would have max space to add a star next to AD ... they will reload ..
Absolutely not. Butler is pretty old. And with the new cba it would be a very hard trade any way.Question for Lakers fans with Jimmy Butler officially on the trading block. If the Heat offer Butler for a package where the primary gift is Reaves, do you make the deal? I'm a lifelong Lakers fan, but this would be tough for me. We're not winning the NBA title with the team we have at the moment...and we're not getting Butler without giving up our clear third-best player. I'll admit I'm torn on this one...looking for some guidance

Either way, LA won't do the tanking option. LA has always been able to attract elite free agents. I remember a specific poster on here who hates the Lakers, said they wouldn't get anyone after Kobe retired, and would be down for years. A year later they got LBJ, then Davis. Butler doesn't fit with LBJ. We don't need two older guys who aren't in their prime anymore, and who both want to dominate the ball. AR perfectly complements LBJ because he can play on or off the ball. People in Miami are saying Butler wants out because they are now running the offense through Hero, and he is a 2nd or 3rd option, depending on how Adebayo is playing. Hero is better than most thought he would be, and he is proving to be a good first option....If you give up Butler for Reaves after LeBron retires or moves in a year or two you are stuck with late 30s Butler and near mid 30s Anthony Davis to build around. That seems like a disaster and forces you to tank. You can probably build something around Reaves and Knecht and maybe Hachimura with some other star you bring in.
Tell us how you really feel, JMizzy . I appreciate all the responses and don't necessarily disagree with any of them. My only thought is that LA might make a big trade if they believe they can win a title THIS YEAR. That could involve anyone who is not already a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer.NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Please NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Kobe's last year was 2016. They didn't get LeBron for 2 years after that and that first year was a down year. 2nd year was Covid. Since they've been barely a playoff team to out of the playoffs that one year. They are on a better pace this year than the last several years at least. But to say the Lakers have been dominant in the AD/LBJ era they've been mid at best. Probably wouldn't have won it all if we played a regular basketball season in 2020. They haven't been to the Lakers standard for really almost 15 years now because the last few years with Kobe weren't that good either. One 50 win season since 2011.Either way, LA won't do the tanking option. LA has always been able to attract elite free agents. Some of it is my AR bias. I love having him on the Lakers.Tell us how you really feel, JMizzy . I appreciate all the responses and don't necessarily disagree with any of them. If they traded away AD for something like Shai, Chet, and name a Thunder bench player maybe they could be in title contention. Or AD for Jokic maybe they would be? Other than that they aren't gonna get close with their current construction.Tell us how you really feel, JMizzy . I appreciate all the responses and don't necessarily disagree with any of them.
