Recruiting question

We know that Treece is available as is Katie Powell as both have been released from their LOIs. Both will be eligible this fall.

Everyone knows we are hurting at the 4/5.

With the limited number of ships available (1 this fall and 1 next year when Sharane graduates), would you like to see OU go after Treece or Powell or would you prefer to pass and have the ship available for the future to potentially sign higher ranked players?

With Vionnese hurt, I think you have to go after the players who could make an impact.
That way you could redshirt Vionnese depending upon her rehab.

I still think we are going to see some shakeups at guard with the arrival of Ortiz, Williams, Penzo.
It's a very crowded backcourt.

I think you can make a valid argument regardless of which side of the issue someone might be. First, we do need a big, no question.

However, I hate to lose a ship that prevents us from doing anything that will hurt us in our recruiting of a great player like Cox, Holmes, Mulkey, etc.

Unless Treece can come in an start, I would have preferred to pass and save the ship.

Do they like their relative recruiting position with post players?

I still think OU will sign two players in 2015. Roster shakeup will occur.

I think you're right about ships becoming available...too many guards & not enough pt to keep everyone happy...I think we could see a couple girls transfer out...

Other then Gibbs and maybe Kellogg I can't see any other girls leaving. Maybe Carter could feel she would get more minutes at another school, but she has a good chance to play a lot next season maybe even start.

OU has been Derica's dream school and her brother is on the staff so I think she will stay because of that. Edwards has alot to do with OU getting/recruiting Williams I'm sure she will stick around because of that.

I know Derica's brother was the manager on the team but I thought he graduated.

Williams and Penzo high 3 stars.

Massive rotation upheaval could lead to some changes in perspective.
It's not just adding Peyton, LaNesia, Penzo, and Ortiz.
Going to have to re integrate Maddie Manning back into mix.
Treece and let's be positive a healthy Vionese will shake up the
4/5 spots too.

Take them now. I don't think we get Mulkey and I agree that Edwards, Carter, Penzo and Wyatt are all likely to end up elsewhere.

The desire to play will outweigh being at a dream school. It does 95 percent of the time.

I also still think we see Maddie at the three or four exclusively. It's just logical based I the roster and signees and commits.

there weren't going to pick a All USA team... How can I say this with out dissing the kid? I haven't seen her play but with our luck she will be another body on the bench, I would love to be wrong but I don't see it.

you're putting a lot of emphasis on that one data point in regards to Penzo.
Going to very interested if you were correct to give it such weight.

I agree. It would be unusual to see a kid ranked #262 to come in and unseat some top 50 ranked players for starting minutes. It's possible but not likely.
