Also says if he does, OSU is the preseason favorite to win the national title.

if smart did come back and he were to put up the exact same numbers he would go from being a top 7 pick this year to a top 20 pick next year ..

He might. Smart always seemed to me to be the type of kid that might play 2-3 years of college ball. Nobody batted an eye when Warren turned down a sure-fire lottery selection to come back.

What are they going to do with all of their recruits if Smart and Nash return? They are sitting at 15 players if that happens. 16 if the Olakumi kid files for a medical.

Agree. I believe they should have won the big 12 this year and they finished 3rd. I also believe losing Jurick will be huge. He has done a good job of making guys like Withey and Austin uncomfortable. They lose him and they brought in 0 immediate help down low. Their most likely going to go with a 4 guard lineup again next year.
 
Smart is a lock to be a top 3 pick. Maybe #1 overall. He's not coming back. Next topic.

Regardless if he comes back or not- he has two tournys to play in still and I'm glad he's wearing orange.

Whoever just said we should finish 1st is just plain dumb. KU has far more talent and experience. Baylor as well. KSU has some really good players. We could've gotten 2nd in Big 12 if we had won the double OT game vs KU. And this team started off the Big 12 season slow. Losing to KSU, Baylor, and OU all right off the bat.

They have become better at winning close games as the season went on.

Not everyone who discuses OSU on this board is jelous, some like to talk basketball.

With that said, if OSU played like they did late in the year all season, you most likely would have won the league. YOu mentioned it yourseld, lost to KSU, Baylor and OU right of the bat.

As for KU, only 2 guys are overly talented, ther rest just have experience.

I think he could be a top 3 because he has an NBA body and good basketball IQ. If he improves his shooting this kid could be a good one in the NBA. If it looks like he can go in top 5 he needs to take it.
