Wrong. They are more versed than Capel in every aspect.

I would say Henson was a better PG and so was Kruger than Capel. Henson played in the NBA for 5 seasons; Capel 0. Kruger was the big 8 2 time POY. Capel wasn't even POY at Duke. Capel is just blessed he had a chance to play at the highest profile program for the highest profile coach in college basketball.

I watched Henson play a lot in college. He was a very good PG, and people tell me Kruger was as well.

Capel didn't even start at Duke his sr. season. If capel doesn't hit the shot to send the UNC game to OT then he is probably an asst coach somewhere without ever getting the chance to be a HC at VCU and at Oklahoma. That one shot set him up for life.

You didn't hear it from me. I knew Capel getting the job was a huge mistake. Why do you think I had to change my user name from OUI? Because I wasn't invited to this site because I knew Capel could not coach.

However, I am telling you that Henson and Kruger know as much if not more about the PG position, and they were both better PGs than Capel. I will also tell you they have a much better record of developing PGs than Capel.

Heck, Capel couldn't even sign a PG that wasn't a malcontent. Capel is the reason our program is in the dumps and for anyone to think a coaching staff with many years of proven success can't do better than Capel, then they are severely misguided.

I'm not expecting Kruger to turn water to wine, but I guarantee you he can take chicken **** and turn it into chicken salad.

I was pretty vocal that the Capel hiring was a mistake. He had done nothing to that point to warrant a top 25 program.

I was right.

Both Kruger and Henson were MUCH more successful than Capel at the PG position as players and as coaches. Why wouldn't you consider them "more versed" than Capel?
