Phil Forte said he has offers from Boise State, Fresno State, San Francisco, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. He said he wants to take visits after July

I didn't know that we'd offered this kid. Do think this is just a conditional offer or something?

He went 8-10 from bta in a Texas Assault's game in Las Vegas this past weekend.

The bigger question lies in whether taking Phil Forte would land us his teammate and friend Marcus Smart?

He might be a nice bench player for us. I wouldn't say it would have been a wasted scholarship.

And he definitely made the right decision for himself, assuming playing time was important to him.
