Graduate transfer and should be immediately eligible next season. I remember OU being heavily involved in his recruitment. Any chance OU throws their hat in the ring since Bolden seems to be a no go?

9 points per game, 46% free throw shooter, 6.4 rebounds.
No Thanks,

The real recruiting prize is his brother, Saul.

Only played 21 minutes though.. That's really not bad at all.. Free throw is awful.. Problem is he is a 3/4 and we have a lot of young guys in that position..

Don't see the fit. He could probably crack the rotation here, but he wouldn't start and we're not likely to bring hardware home. My guess would be he goes to a small school where he can get a high volume of minutes and shots, or goes to a really good team where he could be a part of a special march run.

How could having a seasoned upperclassman that can play little be a bad thing?

Because he'd be a small upgrade (if that) over what we have, but he'd block the younger guys from getting minutes to improve.

There isn't a player left OU could realistically get that would change the outlook of next season by more than a game or two. Let the young guys play, and in another year or two we'll have a team very similar to 2015 and 2016 teams.

You want to bring in a 6 foot 6 power forward who helped his team to a 15-17 record?

He's not going to be the only player transferring with immediate eligibility.

He's a stud inside. OU tried to recruit him last year. He may have only played 21 minutes/game but he was also their leading rebounder.

My concern is he was suspended for 4 games last December for undisclosed rules violations, and his transfer is by "mutual decision". Coach Hurley wanted him gone, and we don't need a bad apple.

You are a big recruit ranking guy. Wasn't he a 5 star out of high school. He was Kruger's top target a coupe of years ago and he missed. At the time one of the coaches told me that he was the hard nosed toughness guy that they needed. I don't know what they think about him now or care very much.

But, if the staff wants him, he would be well ahead of an incoming freshman or a soph. that hasn't played much.

Could probably start right away at OSU.

PG: Juwan Evans
SG: Phil Forte
SF: Jeff Carroll
PF: Savon Goodman
PF: Leyton Hammonds

Did I miss something? Is he transferring?

With Hawaii holding off their probation and post season ban until next year anybody with 1 year of eligibility left can transfer freely. Lots of talk about Jankovic possibly going somewhere (he actually transferred in from Mizzou).
