I went back and the watched the Summit League Championship between NDSU and IPFW (I think that's right). You can watch the replay on WatchESPN.

Offensively, they really slow things down and work through the low post on almost every possession. They do a really good job handling the ball; they don't make many turnovers.

Borklund - They set a lot of cross-screens from one low post to the other trying to get Bjorklund free. If he catches it on the low-left block, he is very good. He has a pretty nice spin move to his left, and he loves the baby-hook shot with his right hand -- he is very good with that. However, he is much less consistent with his left hand. He shoots a very high percentage, and I can see why. Half of his makes were just him bullying his way to rim and just laying it. Spangler will need to do a good job pushing Borklund off his spot and not letting Borklund get around him with a quick first step. Borklund was much less effective when he was double-teamed, so I expect to see a lot of that from us defensively. I think Spangler is up to the task, but I worry about foul trouble and Bennett having to Borklund. Bennett can be slow at times, and I feel like Borklund would go right around him.

I think maybe the biggest thing will be denying the first pass into the low-post. They struggled when they couldn't get it into Borklund early in the shot clock.

Braun - He had an off-game until the last few minutes. He struggled shooting and was extremely passive. He didn't finish well rim, and passed up a lot of shots. Sort of reminded me of Wiggins from earlier in the season (and by that I mean his un-aggressiveness), but obviously Braun is very capable of being aggressive and scoring a lot points. He wasn't quite dynamic as I thought he would be, but I expect him to have a much better game against us.

Wright - This is the guy I am actually most worried about. He is a very explosive player. Extremely athletic. He had several highlight-reel dunks, and was very good attacking the basket. He always seemed to be in the right place. Made a few huge blocks that helped them beat IUFW.

Prediction: I think Spangler is going to have a huge night on the boards (15+), if he is not hampered by fouls.

Is Wright their 4?

Gotta keep Spangler out of foul trouble, and if we switch those cross screens, that means Cam will end up on the big dude some. That isn't good. We'll probably double, which leaves shooters open.

Not sure the tempo will be enough to get Spangler 15 boards. Even if we run when we have it, they are going to slow it down when they have it. Should be fun to see who wins the battle of pace.

Great analysis, JK! Hopefully, we can speed up the game and score some points early that will get them out of rhythm. First half shooting will be very important. We need to build a lead early.
