I think that's true. I think he's devastated right now. He has to be kicking himself that DePaul didn't work out.

Retention and recruiting are going to be so hard. I don't see a way out for him.

I want him to be successful. He's the coach of Oklahoma. But I'm not going to pump sunshine and say that it's going to get better.

We expect the SEC to be weaker than the Big 12. It won't be. Those are football schools that are investing in basketball. We're going to have to step it up.

It’s okay to allow someone to grieve the state of the program. This is unacceptable and acting like it isn’t is only enabling what we are going through as a fanbase. You’re welcome to your opinion but so is everyone else. There’s a way to disagree respectfully

I can agree. I would like to have them both back though. Uzan probably played his best game vs TCU in a while but he also still looked like he didn't know how to run the offense at times.

I agree they are replaceable, but replacing Soares, Darthard, Uzan, and Oweh in the same offseason is a tall order. Especially if JM decided to leave as well. Or Hugely. That leaves us needing SO much from the Portal that I just can't see it happening.

If you looked at last years team most of us would say just get rid of most of that roster because it didn't have any athletic ability to deal with the Big 12. That wasn't the problem this year. The problem this year was they didn't have guys be as consistent as they needed them to be. Oweh went from being our 1a guy showing a lot of confidence early in the year to just haven't no confidence in conference play.

Also, DePaul would have taken PM if he wanted it

Not always. In fact I feel the offense got decent the last few games. The only bad offensive performance was against ISU who is probably one of the best defenses in the country. They scored in the 80s against Houston, 70s against Cincinnati without the best guard. Scored 70 vs TCU without the best 2 scorers. In the 80s against OSU. 80 vs Texas. The offense wasn't the problem the last half of the season for sure.

Fine. Watch whatever you like. I'm an OU grad and a Sooner fan so I don't trash any successful OU team. Even if I don't watch them, I damn sure appreciate it when they do well. I'm surprised no one's yet complained about the gymnastics programs; perhaps some are still working up to that particular hissy fit.
