a big win against texass. now the sooners are well set up for a probable 10-8 finish. even 9-9 should be enough. rpi of 40 and 6th toughest schedule. maybe the girls will jell in the tourney. kornet, carter, and durret are playing well. hooks, always. vegas HAS to get hot. sharane has to mug the opponents. the possibility exists for a run. and every one stop ragging on sheri. SHE IS OU BASKETBALL!

I think we should be able to win over Kansas and Texas Tech in Norman. We COULD beat Baylor in Waco, but, apparently, they had the better of the officiating again against Texas, twice. It is tough to play five on eight.

TCU should be the game that defines 9-9 or 10-8. They did beat Iowa State and Texas Tech on the road.

We learned enough last night to make us what we need to be. We don't have to have Vegas hit the shots in order to win. She can wait for her open looks, and we can let others score rather than wait on Vegas to shoot. How important was it that Kornet hit those first two threes? How important was it that Carter stepped up? I still don't believe Durrett.

It's true, all NCAA officials are Baylor alums. Baylor has always gotten all of the calls to go their way and always will.

I don't think any conclusions can be made from the game last night other than it was a great win. This team is so inconsistent that it is impossible to know what to expect in any game in the future. We managed to win last night without Aaryn but we certainly need her back ASAP.

Syb, I don't know what drug you are on when you start talking about us being able to beat Baylor in Waco (or anywhere else). Whatever it is, Syb, send some my way.

This team will be lucky to keep the loss at 15 or less.

I'll buy you dinner in Norman whenever you like if we do.

We COULD beat Baylor in Waco. The team that began the year would have an excellent chance. We had a great outside shooter in Vegas. We had two posts who should have done the job. We had a forward who was good at getting to the basket. We had one of the most experienced point guards in the nation.

Given normal development, I'd take that team over Baylor. If we were to hold Sims to 30, I think we win. They only way that she gets to thirty is with foul shooting. She has been a rather poor shooter from the field. We just have to keep from fouling her, and not let Davis kill us on the boards.

Vegas hits half her shots, Morgan doesn't foul Sims, Kornet, Williams, Griffin, and Sharane keep Davis off the boards. Sharane gets to the bucket. Carter contributes her ten when we aren't moving. This game is close. But, that is the team that should have been and could well be.

For us to beat Baylor, we would have to play our best and Baylor would have to have a bad night. It could happen but not likely.

I don't see any way we beat Baylor in Waco, but strange things do happen. Upsets rarely occur in womens basketball. That doesn't mean we can't keep it close with a chance to win but the onus will be on us to keep it close.

That said, if we finish 10-8 or 9-9 we should get into the tourney. You could maybe make a case for us at 8-10. The big 12 is the best womens basketball conference and that helps our chances for a bid.

Have to keep winning though.
