Simon Says

It was amusing....Better than the wing eating contest where they can hardly eat 4 wings in 5 minutes.

Much better than free throw contests between 2 people who have never touched a basketball before.

Much better than the botched free throw contest which was abruptly changed to a layup contest in which they didn't even keep score and just arbitrarily declared one of the participants the winner.

Oh better than watching Froster win a stupid race. The Yo time videos are amusing but they are terrible at getting the crowd going.

If I proposed to a girl at halftime next year, and said girl's reaction would almost certainly be to slap me...would this be a halftime event that OUHoops would be interested in witnessing?

It turned out to be at least somewhat amusing, but I'm stunned that we've resorted to a game of Simon says at halftime of OU basketball, much less Bedlam.

Why not let the guy on the mike who has the freaky hair scream into the mike for the entire half time. That way maybe his voice would be lower in the second half.

I get 15 minutes to try and convince Megan McGeary to go on a date with me. #AlternativeHalftimeShows

The worst part of the OU basketball experience is Microphone Dude. It is verbal torture when that dude appears on the floor. I cringe and bear it every time. I'm sure he is a nice young man, but I would MUCH prefer to hear the band play than to hear "WHO WANTS A FREE T-SHIRT" or anything else that bounces off his vocal cords.

I long for the good old days when the band played more, and I had never seen nor imagined the silly skits and competitions that dominate the time-out periods now.

I suck at Simon Says, I couldn't even imagine playing in front of 5,000 people.

Thoughts on "Yo Time"?

I actually kinda like Yo-Time, as long as they don't repeat the same one in back-to-back games. Last night, Yo-Time actually ended up getting a lot of fans standing and joining in the Boomer Sooner chant. Of course, the timing was just perfect last night.

The players singing Oklahoma is absolutely hilarious and they cut it off right when it was about to get funny.

The Simon Says guy does Thunder games as well (I am guessing he does the Laker game tonight as well). Everyone wants halftime entertainment, but then complains when we get it.

Initially I thought this might be the worst halftime I've ever seen. By the time it was over I was laughing my arse off! Maybe I'm easily entertained or maybe I was happy cause we were up 18 at half or maybe I was trying to not think that there's a more then reasonable chance we blow the 18 point lead we have?! Anyway. I've seen worse!

Simon says was actually decent. Still concerned that we aren't going to get Red Panda this season...
