Sooners 2016 commit Matt Freeman closes out high school career

So, Matt will be in Norman by mid-December. Is that correct?
If so, I like the idea of bringing him in earlier. That will give him an extra month or so during the holidays to bond with his future teammates, as well as absorb everything the veterans on the team have to offer. He looks so mature for his age, it's easy to forget that he's still in high school.
I don't think Freeman gets here until mid-January when school starts. I can't blame him for staying with his family thru the holidays because he won't get many chances to return to New Zealand.
Also, I don't know if he can be part of team functions until school starts. I don't think OU can put him and a dorm and feed him, or let him practice until he officially attends a class. Players can work out in the summer because they're in summer school. I'm just guessing about this..... but it makes some sense to me.
