Joe felt that Capel was another Bob Stoops. Not a bad gamble. If there was any clue it was that VCU didn't have a great year the last season Capel was there. Then Grant had a much better year after Capel was gone. I wonder if we could have lured the Butler coach away the year we hired Capel.

Considering he was an assistant coach at Butler at the time, I guarantee we could have lured him away.
And would have almost loved to see the meltdown that would have occurred if Oklahoma hired a random assistant coach from Butler as their head coach.
