Sooners to play two games at McCasland Field House

And, FWIW, have heard there has been some talk about renovating/expanding the Field House to play even more games there in the future.

I've been hearing this from REALLY good sources for a couple of years now. I've talked to someone who's seen the blueprints.

This. When you have about 3x as many season ticket holders, as you have seats in McCasland, you aren't going to move too many games. I've got no problem with the two games this year. Probably a decent idea. I just don't think it will amount to much more than that.

Season ticket holders, take note of this paragraph and plan accordingly:

Although the Nov. 7 and Dec. 31 Field House games are not part of OU's season tickets package, season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets to these events. More information will be included with the season ticket renewals this week. General public tickets for these two games will be subject to availability. Fans may contact the OU Athletics Ticket Office in mid-October for more information. Field House seating capacity for these two games will be approximately 3,300.

Awesome. I'm sure they will be examining the students feelings on this to gauge if an on campus arena would be worth it in the future

not taking full responsibility, but this is one of the major ideas that came out from the meeting with Lon, Marketing, and the students in early May.
