Here is the Spangler love.

Spangler was scoring in the post, hitting 3's, rebounding, boxing out, hustling, and looking like an All-American player. So glad he went out like that. I really think he stays banged up, and that's why at times he disappears.

This TEAM was terrible in the first half. Second half, they could have beat anyone in the country. Buddy was cold, but the game plan is always to stop Buddy now, so it's going to be tough every game.

Cousins hit some big shots in the second half and that was nice. Buford had a nice 3. Woodard, he's got to get it going.

Lattin was non existent most of the game. I'd like to see that consistency I've continued to talk about with the bigs.

I am a huge fan of letting walk ons get more than 1 minute of play time in blow outs. CJ Cole got a few minutes and that was nice. I know he's not a walk on, but he might as well be.

Defense was good both halves, that's a positive.

Great win, still inconsistent, but that will get better. BEAT TEXAS!

I was thrilled with how Spangler played last night!

He was the CONFIDENT, swaggy, hard-nosed player that we all love :dance005:

Dude just got it done!

We need to throw it to him in the post more, I honestly think he can score almost every time he gets it down there, his jump hooks and spins are VERY nice.

Spangler started the game with no sleeve on his leg, FWIW.

Great game for him. It's weird he either plays with little confidence or all the confidence in the world. He really feeds off the flow of the game mentally imo.

It's all reliant on his first couple shots. If they don't fall, he doesn't want the ball anymore.

^ nice, Banjo.

What I like about Spangs is that he rarely takes a bad shot. Yes, sometimes he misses badly, but what I'm saying is he rarely takes a forced shot outside of the flow of the offense. But the problem with the offense is that we don't go through him very often. Also, if he misses a couple of shots in a row, he doesn't look to shot again (it happened notably at Kansas, but there are several other examples). I'm very much in favor of letting him work down low more.

Had it back on by the second media time out though.

He looked a little healthier/quicker/energized last night. Hopefully it lasts for a while.

It was heartening to see him have a great game last night. Tramel wrote in his story about Ryan:

Spangler tweaked a knee several weeks ago and admitted he hasn't felt 100 percent since. Until Wednesday night. No pain when he jumped.

Here's hoping he stays healthy the rest of the way and is able to play with confidence and passion.
