Woodard
James
Odomes
Buford
Lattin

Coach, is everyone who is supposed to be on campus on campus?

Thanks for the info coach. Remember, that is just the first day. Like many have said, it may change some in the non con, or even the next practice for that matter. Even though you had the fab 4 who started for three straight years remember 4 years ago Cousins and Hornbeak traded off starting at point.

Anybody on here go and want to give a report? Saw some pics on the OU BBall Twitter page, and looked like a decent turnout. Cmon you know who you are!

McGusty has the biggest chance to take someone's spot imo

Really looking forward to finding out what we can get from Mcgusty, freeman, jamuni, Doolittle

So Woodard back to point?

I think everyone kind if assumed Woodard would would begin the offseason and possibly into the season at point until one of the new guys proved they could handle the job.

Only change I would see is Mcgusty in for Odomes..

I think it would be a fun lineup if we had Woodard, James, Mcgusty, Odomes, Lattin.

Buford and Odomes are really the wild cards for this team next year. If they both show up we could be pretty dang good again. I'm very excited for OU basketball

I've heard Doolittle maybe close to 6'8" now. It will be interesting to see how he is used. Inside or outside. In HS he could be just about anywhere on the court at any time.

They're going to know a lot more about the new players by the end of the summer. We're all just guessing right now. It's still fun to speculate.

I forget, how many times/how often are they going to practice this summer?

I've heard Jordan will not be the point guard but I'm not sure who will be it. McGusty, Strong and Shepard are the other candidates as far as I can gather.

I think they can only practice 2 times a week for an hour. Counting meetings, weight lifting, etc. they can spend 8 hours/week with the staff.

I don't understand why this needs to be announced or specified. Jordan Woodard is basically a point guard no matter what. I would love to see one of those other three be good enough to play with him and James...

I have to disagree with this. I think what vbad is saying is that JW won't be the one getting us in our sets. Yes he will handle the ball a lot (like last year), but he won't be taking over Isaiah's position.

I think it's too early to say 1 of those 3 will be the starting PG enabling Woodard to play the wing. None of the 3 has even practiced with the team. Strong is a natural PG but I don't see us with 2 players at 5'10" on the floor. We would get killed by big wings posting us up. McGusty didn't even play PG in HS or AAU ball. Also, starting 1 of those new guys probably would push Odomes to the bench.

I just can't believe that to be the case on June 16th before even 1 summer practice. JMHO.

I guess you guys didn't read the part that said 'I'm not sure who will be it'. I then listed guys who possibly could play the point but I didn't say any would or would be a starter.

Jordan would seem to me to be the logical choice as the point guard but I've heard that he won't be. Nothing is ever set in stone but they will give other guys the chance to run the point. They prefer Jordan as a wing with ball handling duties.
