Stevie arrested again...

I wasn't insinuating anything. I think it's laughable that a secretary ( which is what I assume you are) for an attorney is posing as a defense lawyer. Lol

I don't know coolm personally, but I'm pretty sure he is an attorney. We have a few who post on this board.

If I'm Coach Ford, I'm suspending Clark for the remainder of the season. These little wrist slaps aren't working, but his actions aren't deemed worthy of a permanent removal from the team, either. Perhaps sitting him down for February and March will get his attention...if it doesn't, then I would cut my losses if I was Ford.

Believe it or not, this type of offense now can be charged a very serious matter. Can even be a sex offender crime and be made to register as one. Eddie had great lawyers and local judges that kept him from being charged in this way after he was caught on a school camera wizzing there. This kid is soooooo much trouble - if he was at OU I believe Lon would have long ago sent his butt back to Momma's house. By the way Jenni Carlson, what is momma gonna say when she calls Traber's show tomorrow? LOL

with Eddie, the public school system destroyed the footage so he couldn't be charged. For Stevie, there is an underlying mental health/judgment issue that is bigger than basketball that needs to be addressed.

The punishment needs to fit the crime. My big thing would be if the car was moving and he was doing this (if) then that is a serious lack a judgment. Coolm may have a point but in my line of business I see lots of kids and adults brought in on gurneys with nasty injuries because they were not wearing their seat belts. He doesn't need to be buried under the jail but fine the crap out of him (again if the vehicle was moving). As to Ford's disciple that is a whole different matter and I would say he care more about winning than teaching Clark a lesson.

Who said they want his life ruined? He needs to be taught a lesson. Obviously his punishment isn't working. Would you rather him have no co sequencing and risk him doing something worse?

Wow -- someone hasn't been paying attention. Anyone reading this board for six years should know coolm is an attorney.

And you called the kid "garbage," for pete's sake. He's had three missteps, yes, but all of them were stupid college-kid crap -- nothing that put other people at serious risk.

I agree that Ford needs to step up and discipline Clark, but you're overreacting.

From reading the Poke boards they just want this dumpster fire of a basketball season to end yesterday. All is right in the world. I'm sure Stevie Clark will be disciplined but who really cares? He was a pretty average to below average player from what I've seen this year. I wouldn't be shocked if he transfers after this year.

If you believe in rumors and see the way Clark's mom has been a media queen, you are probably scared to do anything if you are Ford.

Ford does need to act. Rather it be sending Clark to rehab like, they did with Caesar Guerrero, then getting rid of him, or a year suspension, something needs to be done

I just can't wait to see all of this blow up. Too many cover ups with Ford and company from criminal, educational, and drug use with players and maybe one assistant.

It wasn't his fault. The cops are just out to get him.

He can't even drive thru the ghetto of Edmond (which one poster here says does not exist) without being hassled. The struggle.

Nobody's life is ruined for getting kicked off a basketball team, and possibly out of school, as a true freshman. He would no doubt find another team that would take a chance on him, hopefully after he took some steps to clean his act up.

As for him just "being a kid", I can honestly say I've never known anybody that urinated out of a car window. And I grew up with some pretty jacked up kids.

I grew up with a kid that could urinate from shoulder to shoulder across a two lane highway. We won a lot of bets that way.

Skyvue, I usually agree with you but not on this. "Stupid college kid crap" it is NOT. Driving while under the influence of pot can KILL someone. That is Serious business!!!

I agree with coolm and others that the kid should NOT be "thrown under the bus" or thrown away.

OSU and Travis Ford should consider the example of Coach Bob Stoops. On more than one occasion, an OU football player has been required to sit out an entire season to help him learn a lesson (and earn his way back onto the field by staying clean and going through counseling if needed). Whether you agree with this approach or not, it seems to have worked with players like Dusty Dvoracek, Ryan Broyles, and Jaz Reynolds.

Give the kid a chance, but make him accountable in a way that can change his behavior in a positive way.

And Bob has also booted kids for what I'd consider lesser offenses.

Also, think back to Kelvin. There is no telling how many drug tests JR Raymond failed, but at some point, he was gone. I bet if he had gotten into trouble three times in 6 weeks or so, Kelvin would have booted him right then and there.

None of us can really answer the "should he be gone" question, because the answer has a lot to do with what Stevie is saying/doing behind closed doors. Personally, I don't think he cares, and I don't think he is trying to get his act together. And that is a different problem than a kid that is truly sorry, and is trying to do right.

Not to mention you are assuming Clark would be "okay" with sitting out a year, going to rehab, or whatever. Maybe he would be, but I think he would walk away from osu if that is what Ford offered.

And if Clark really did "take one for the team" in Florida, Ford may have to give him a longer leash to keep him (Clark) from talking about what really happened.

So is driving drunk, but one doesn't hear generally hear an underage college kid who was caught drinking referred to as garbage.

I must have missed that one. Can you elaborate, or provide a link so I can get up to date on Clark possibly "taking one for the team."

Thanks.

wahhhhh.. fighting over form rather than substance... the kid is a moron and will eventually get kicked off the team. its a matter of time, not if, so i dont get why everyone has their panties in a bunch

Nothing concrete but rumored to the handler of the team weed. Got caught with more than a freshmen could smoke.
