FWIW to this board, I don't get the impression that OU is in a great position for Stevie Clark. But I am getting the impression that Isaiah Cousins could be a impact player as a freshman and even more down the road.

Yep, that is correct. SR is made up of tuition wiaver, cash and a cash stipend for a "laptop allowance" but it can be used for anything. However, often those kids with great academic merits get other awards based on major, need or from outside sources that can all add up to get to their total cost.

OU doesn't have one single scholarship that covers everything. Even National Merit kids don't recieve a full ride based on that scholarship alone.

National Merit scholars do get everything. You get tuition, room and board, and books.

Then again, that may be one of the reasons OU recruited Isiah Cousins so hard...that, and the fact that by all accounts he's a heck of a ball player. But if Clark is dead set on going elsewhere, time to move on and set our sights on Woodward in 2013 and Omega Harris in 2014.

I was hoping for both Woodard and Clark but now maybe LK can land Woodard for next year.

Anyone familiar with the scholarship situation at those schools? I knos MU has no openings right now, and I think Marquette is full. The other two seem to have room to add another scholarship guy, though.

Also, does anyone know whether walking on for a year is a realistic option for Clark? (academic aid aside)

Rivals' OU site is saying that Stevie's brother Deondre is attending OU's June 3 football camp and that he will almost certainly be offered at the camp. No indication that Deondre would jump on the offer though.
